THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

.!.:D.!.

And does anyone know what time crown is open until on Sat? And does Jeff carry stuff like water pumps and such? There is no way that I can salvage the old line so I gotta get a new one. Autozone lists as out of stock (supplier out of stock) and NAPA said it will be about a week until they can get one in for me. Figure Crown might be a last ditch effort to see if maybe, just maybe, he has one.

edit: and if crown is open can someone PM me the phone #... i seem to have lost it.

edit2: nevermind, found the number and hours. Fawk! looks like I will be calling on Monday. So that leaves me wondering if I should start to swap over the 98+ front clip. I wanted to leave that until some later date but I already have the grill off radiator out and all, just need fenders/hood which are easy. I could just do that. Hmmmm.

I shouldn't be your last ditch effort! Our water pumps are new and I run one on my XJ. I do stock them and might be able to swing by tomorrow at some point if you need me to. Add the store # to your cell phone: 781-821-2276

Shoot me a pm if you need anything else or need outside hours. Thanks

haha. Thanks. I have a water pump already but it's the hard line that goes into the pump that i need now. I shopped at the stores around me and completely forgot that you were somewhat local. Once I start remembering that I'm sure you will be the first call  No one seems to have that hose so if you do that would be sweet.

Yeah less than $10. If you ever can't make it to Canton you can pick up in Marshfield if you bring exact $$ or pay me over the phone...I just have to make arrangements. I have 10+ of those tubes in stock at the moment.

Awesome, I will try and get out of the office early enough on Monday to stop by. If I cant get out early enough I will try and stop by on wed evening. Either that or maybe next sat so I can avoid traffic  Thanks

Damnit. My mother just told me she found a metal desk like I want down at the local christian charity sale place for $5 (not a typo). Said "she should have told me earlier in the day but....". Oh well, time to place an order with newegg for the cat5 connectors and crimps.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

This week just keeps getting better
this morning I went down to the state police barracks to drop of a list of stolen tools, and pulling in, my sisters truck lost oil pressure.
Fortunately I stopped on my way there at a friends house to grab tools to change out my ckp sensor, and my jeep runs again, but when I went to look at the ranger, I discovered I didn't get it shut off as quickly as I thought, and the engine is locked up.

the look on the troopers face when I told him the value of the missing tools was funny though, he apparently thought there was a few hundred to a thousand dollars worth, so when I told him the value was around $20k, his jaw just about hit the floor.
wow, your luck sucks atm... hope it gets better.

Yeah, I was just stuck at getting the pully off the pump cause it was on there pretty damn good. Then I looked at the new pump and realized I just needed to use more force  It's all apart now except i need to get that bypass hose tube off (or buy a new one) and it's being a bitch. Just called a buddy who is at work to see if I can stop by and use their table vice to get it off. If I can't get it off by end of day today I will order one on Monday. And working on the Jeep with the front clip/radiator of is much easier. I'm starting to think I may have to skip wheeling next wkend (may have to skip anyway if I can't get the hose in before then) and just stuff off the engine and do my alternator relocation and replace my mechanical fan with an electric one now that I have it all apart already and have easy access.

And  about that truck. Sweet!

edit: and no bloody knuckles... yet. impact worked well for once, actually had enough power to get some bolts out :gee: Worked esp well for getting the bolts out to take the water pump pulley off

edit2: got that hard line off the pump... it took all the threads from the pump with it  Hopefully can clean it out with a file since I really don't want to go buy a tap and die set right now. If I can't clean it I will likely order a new part and hope it gets in sooner than later.
I never even bother, just assume that tube will break and buy a new one with the pump. Have one sitting around here somewhere, probably in the box with the pump actually. Also, they want 25 to 35 for windows usually.

Hit sams and bought a bunch of stuff, fixed assorted small problems with the XJs.

Yeah, I haven't done a water pump yet so I didn't really know to expect that to break.. now I know better, though hopefully I don't have to do this again any time soon.

Scott, your posts are way too long. This is causing me (and probably everyone else) to not read your posts. Its not twitter so don't post useless stuff that we don't care about. No offense intended.

P.s. this was < 3 lines

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Still 1 more hour before I get home, I psoted that when Rob, Travis, Mia and I were sitting in burger king, I had to pull over to get some fresh air.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hahaha, I was going to go through the thread when I got home and quote Bill's original post that said this wasn't twitter. I agree with Adam, wway too long, and you don't have to say "edit" when you add something, no one really cares if its an edit or part of the original post.
