THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have a truck, well, several trucks that would fit in... should you decide to buy it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Well I guess price point would depend how good/strong it is. I mean the one in that link is $75 and I shot him an email earlier to get details on it. Not sure exactly what he has but will find out. lmk what you want for yours though :dunno:

standard lincoln tombstone 225 stick. make cheap decent offer.

i read that last night, looks nice. i wonder why he flipped the crawl bow though? once the front case is cut and welded, there should be enough room for the d-shaft to clear.

I hate you a little bit but I'm going to hold off. My grandfather promised his to me. His is substantially larger I think.

Scott: Offer him a Mr. Franklin.

The long and short of it is: there's not enough room. It's even tighter with a D300.

I know with the 300 it pulls the d-shaft closer to the center and you gotta flip it outta the way, but should be enough room with a 231/231 setup with both DSD. rockcontrolxj did on the 111" stretch. now i now hes got a carrier bearing because of the raised flatbelly but otherwise it doesnt seem to push the shaft further outward

i like this man's thinking

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

 damnit, now i almost wanna give up on solid knuckles/arms and run this along with NWF's new high steer arm. i guess that would mean modded stock knuckles or orange things though

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Jeff... you wouldn't happen to stock 5-7000X or 5-7205 U-joints, would you?

I'm fairly certain this is what my truck uses (I know it's not the dana tab style caps), need to take another look and make sure tonight. I'd like to have a spare or two on hand but I'm trying to find the lowest price before I order.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Eh, some people say NIB meaning it's never been used and still in original packaging. Not that I agree with it but I have seen a few folks who list it that way.

And I may be interested in that welder. Just gotta figure out what I have the space for and if I am buying that house. And I gotta figure out if my buddy is going to rent a room from me if I do buy said house. That would leave me a bit more $$ to play with

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I hear they suck, alot of movement in the shaft. I wouldn't care but you're alot more anal than I am.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Here's what I'm going to run for a PS cooler.

Came out of a ford van. Looks just about perfect.

I also got an astro van powersteering resevoir and the s10 bumpstops.-$31

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So S10 bumps are pretty decent? I need to do something for bumps though for now I think I might just grab some hockey pucks to get me through the wkend

edit: and as I am out welding that stick welder is starting to sound more and more tempting... Ross, it come with all the leads?

Not sure where they'd fit in the front of a stock cherokee but here's a pic.

They're big, long, come with a little mounting can. They are also designed to be "squished" like a progressive bumpstop. I haven't used them yet but I like everything about them so far. They're super easy to pull and if I annihilate them offroad all it takes to grab a new one is a quick tug and I can pop it in my bump can. I just looked at my receipt and they cost me $5 each.

comes with everything needed and as much rod as i have sitting around

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

For a franklin? argh I don't neeeeeed that but but but..... chances are I will pick it up, just gotta sleep on it (or wait until I have a few drinks later and say fawk yeah).

edit: wait how thick can that thing weld? I just looked on homedepot.com and it says welding capacity 5/32 max... which doesn't seem to add up to me since my millermatic 135 claims to be able to do up to 3/16 with the proper setup. :dunno: I would think the 220V stick could do more than my 110V millermatic

edit2: Guess I was wrong, up to 3/16. Hmmmm, may still be interested, not completely sure yet.
