THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

my dad just sent me an email. i guess a juvenile bald eagle has been spotted multiple times on a lake in my town. it'd be kinda neat to have one living in the town, especially with how rare they are.

i live in a town with a mega huge reservoir in it that basically supplies water to half of the state. theres one that lives on an island in the reservoir. it had babies too. but i never seen the babies out of the nest, maybe they all died

haha sweet. and nice grill. what does the UCA mount to?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah ken the 760s are 1.18", the 260s are 1.08" i think. all i need is the stub shaft, i want to keep my unit bearings if possible since its new and the longer part of the shaft didn't spin or anything. the passenger and driver side stubs are the same actually, so if you have an extra i maybe might get that from you. how much would you want / are you going to lobsters this weekend? i'm just going to run it as is for now, i don't think i'll break a 260 open real easily..... i hope
I dunno, like five bucks? I was gonna keep it as a spare after putting a new U-joint in it but I'm not sure it's really worth screwing around with. Bring your own cotter pin, the one that's on it broke when I removed it, but it's got a functional nut/"tin foil thingy" as carmelo put it. You're gonna either be amazed or horrified or both when you see the thing, the joint has like 1/16" of play in it (lengthwise AND rotationally) and after sitting in my back hall for a week one set of caps flops around like it should and the other is completely seized.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Well it only took me about 20 minutes to swap the harmonic balancer on the green Jeep today, which is about a 400% improvement over the Blairwitch.

Harmonic balancer is done, ball joint sleeve is on, just need to put the hub and crap back together. The new 242 is hack&tapped and attached to the transmission, ready to have the nuts tightened. One plate is on for the bumper, need to get that attached tomorrow.

Going to hopefully pull the rear apart and get the disc brakes done. I'm happy I looked because the rear hardline is rusty right where it goes into the soft line. I don't want to have a repeat of the red jeep.

I need to move my axle forward, so I'm no longer bottoming the trackbar bracket out on the tie rod.

Colin, I'll measure those shafts tomorrow and give you a call.

Glad to hear you guys got stuff done.

Thanks, give me a call at some time tonight I'll be around.

Picked up another 241 rocktrac today for a SONG. 231/241 doubler on tap

***hole.

Adam came over today and we got my winch on, solenoid box remote mounted, and controller plug mounted on the pass side of the header panel.

I'll get pics at some point when it's daytime and I'm home.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Colin - get the cabling worked out yet? If not, anytime between now and Lobsterfest (or hell, bring the parts there and I'll bring the tools) works.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Does any one know where to find some 6 lug wheels like crager soft 8's? I want a set of 16 for the truck my dad and I bought but I can't find anywhere that has steelies. And I not spending $112+ a wheel for alloys.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sa-weeet. I just won $400 on the super bowl. Here's to hoping the score doesn't change (or both teams score in increments of 10), so my numbers hit the final score too. :D

That $400 goes straight to the MJ. Fawk yeah

I think there are some on bump's list of rims he wants to get rid of, not really sure, check the classifieds yet?

Yeah Adam and I got some cable at home depot and some connectors. We crimped them in the bench vise and heat shrunk everything. Worked out pretty good, though the cable was pretty stiff.

Also, he soldered my radiator for me. Worked perfectly, no leaks and holds pressure fine.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

anyone know why thers mud in radiators, all my jeeps have it where you pull the cap off?

every jeep i have ever taken offroad has greenie green coolant in the radiator, and the overflow is muddy brown. and sometimes theres no coolant in the overflow, just an inch of muddyness.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Haha apparently. I sent the link to my dad because I hate stock wheels he just wants to sand blast the stock wheels and paint them black.
