Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

anyone else end up with crushed tranny lines from the upper control arm hitting it?

happened on every shortarmed jeep i have ever wheeled

had it happen on the 95, and im not happy about this snow crap, i have to many busted jeeps to push around

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i can talk on my cell phone, eat a big mac, and put on my makeup while driving in stop and go traffic.
HA!

i can eat subway, speed, and shift at the same time. plus stop and go is easy, its all in the feet.

potential nor-easter on wednesday

Sweet!!!

I had a girl try to put make up once in the Jeep. I don't think I missed a pothole that entire drive.:laugh3:

Unfortunately, the Jeep is still on jackstands.....

Why?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

this is why i like "controlled" oil/fluid leaks they put a fine sheet of rust preventative coating on everything. i blew a trannyline a couple weeks ago (ran over a rock that got between my crossmember and harmonic balancer, blew apart a line and it got in the fan and coated everything under my hood. my engine is so shiny now!
yeah my jeep is all greasy AND all rusty on the bottom, it defies logic. I do like the factory-installed option "constant oil change" / "automatic undercoating applicator" on the MJ though, it works very nicely.

Gimme the heads pweese. I have to wake up this little 305 in the k1500.:rattle:

Doesnt matter, its a 305, nothin will ke it up. get a reman truck 350, the one in my old k2500 was frickin sweet. well, with the addition of 3" duals:D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

mark, were you guys installing new suspension components?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'd love to put a 350 in it and put the 305 in the XJ. I know everyone says not to put a v8 in a trail Jeep but it would still be pretty sweet imo

We pulled the old t-case, H&T the new 242, and put it back up in place. tore DS of the 44 apart and installed new ball joint sleeve. new shocks.

he still wanted to push the front end forward and install rear disks

not true, they jsut say not to put a 305 in anything:D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Colin - get the cabling worked out yet? If not, anytime between now and Lobsterfest (or hell, bring the parts there and I'll bring the tools) works.

I totally forgot you were an electrical engineer or whatever and have all the relating tools/knowledge. With that said, what are you doing for cables in your new MJ? Mine suck and I was thinking about possible buying a set from 5-90 but wanna hear your input. I know the renix systems definitely lacked from the factory in this respect and mine is not operating as it did from the factory so needless to say it sucks.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm probably gonna buy a 25' roll of #2 welding cable and whatever else I need (a buttload of ring terminals and stuff, maybe other sizes of wire) and crimp some up. I've been itching for an excuse to make use of my new hydraulic crimper for a while now.
