THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

after i eat this wonderful meal for tacobell im gonna go change rear diff fluid and wax teh jeep, then it shall be ready for fall crawl, YAY!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

and then you can come here and change the fluid in my diffs? :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just drained and refilled my rear 44 on Monday. Fluid looked eh. I should really replace all the bearings in it as they looked discolored from water/overheating or something.

And my pinion seal is still leaking everywhere. I need to check for a groove worn into the yoke or something.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

im not motavated enough to change the fluid in my frt diff, plus that was changed when i did the lockrite back in july, i cant even remember when i did the fluid in the rear diff

Its from too much use. This is why I don't drive my Jeep that much, to save tread on my tires and unnecessary strain on driveline parts/seals.

i always put a bead of rtv around the seal for good measure

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

there's a simple solution to that. don't get a 4 link dummy!

if you can do all the fab work to put the axles under your jeep, you can also do your own 3 link.

i could do that but ive played around with the calculator a lil bit and as it turns out i dont know my a$$ from elbow as far as suspension geomotrey, if you tell me where to put stuff i can make it go there real easy.

soooo if i have the $$ lying around im gonna either have someone design me a 3/4 link or buy one

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Where have people bought Harmonic Balancers from before? I just called NAPA and they said it was a dealer only item, except both NAPA and Autozone have it listed on their websites.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

On that note, Carmelo picked up some spare front shafts from me for the JY.
hey Carmelo hows about completing the karma circle and hooking me up with a front shaft? all u can pull at holland's is off for this year, so i wont be able to grab a replacement for the one i gave u... and i need to swap in that d30 soon...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If you REALLY want it back I haven't shortened it yet.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I AM READY FOR FALL CRAWL!!! I trimmed the back of my front fenders a little bit more and flexed it up on a rock and I no longer rub! even when the hockey pucks completely miss the bumpstop.

i may really need it back. i stopped by hollands and they said maybe no all u can carry this fall....but it may be a week or two until i REALLY need it, since itll take me a little while to chip away at the swap.
i saw that u had extra shafts or something, thats why i asked. :spin1:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Nah, that's the only front driveshaft I have. I was going to use it soon but it really is yours since you gave it to me for nothing.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

On another note carpet and seat is out of the comanche, plenty of floor rust. Forgot my grinder's key wrench thingy so I couldn't start cutting it up. Also it doesn't want to start, I'm thinking bad gas or CPS?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

cps, maybe slight rust on the flywheel causing it not to read, is my guess.
i had about three gallons of gas out of my parts xj that was sitting for two+ years, and i felt no difference in mine when i threw it in there.
and hopefully ill be able to find another shaft, so even if i need that one back, ill be able to give u another. i dont want to be an indian giver. (whatever that phrase comes from, i have no idea,as far as i know indians traded and bartered)

so worse case, keep an eye out for a shaft if u must cut it up, or if i get it back, ill be lookin out for one for u!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It cranks just doesn't fire up. It ran two days ago and all I did to it was pour in some gas but as far as I know it's good gas. Maybe it flooded itself, my cherokee does every once and a while.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Also if you end up needing the shaft let me know. We'll probably have to figure out a way for it to get to you.
