surely :) probably will need a u joint as the caps are missing on most of the ones i have...

just got back from the store, im ready to go, just gotta load up the jeep before work tomorow then head out right after work, cant wait

colin if you replace the bearings on the carrier and pinion, the gears need to be reset.

don't listen to this fool...take the shims out and put 1/2 of them back in...the bearings will be tighter so they'll make up for the lack of shim....AWESOME!!!

Everyone's jeeps will come out without a scratch. Meanwhile, a tree branch will fall on top of my Honcho while it sits broken in a parking lot. Further setting me back.

i predict my jeep will come out without a mark. then again, it may not even leave the driveway until next week.
if you arrive with mark, he should leave with you.

What is the point of setup bearings then?

I've never rebuilt an axle but aren't they used so you can easily put in/pull out the carrier while you're figuring everything out? I would assume all the final shimming/measuring is done with the new bearings?
