Driving back to Boston last night in the TJ the torque converter wouldn't unlock. Seemed like it unlocked ok this morning on the way to work, but at lunch time it was unlocking fine then not unlocking, and I had to step on it to get it to downshift going up a hill. Seems like it doesn't like to unlock in 3rd gear.

Bets on if it blows up?

flywheel is fine, it sounded like there was a bad spot on it, it was just the starter

painting exhaust manifold - anyone done it? Tips? Will be curing on vehicle

Yea its a new (non rusty) one. Was thinking cast gray color

I tried painting my exhaust on the MJ with some VHT high temp exhaust paint.

Looked great when I installed it. Now it just looks like every other brown/rusty looking exhaust.

I bet all that crazy horsepower you're putting out just blasted the paint right off.
