THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

Meh, I don't really get the sample thing. I fell for it once and did it on my truck from Blackstone.
Other than a polite, humorous "everything is fine" note and the data I'm not sure it was worth the $20. Keep good clean filters on it and it is what it is. Running one oil over another isn't going to change the life of a modern engine. If a mechanical part is going bad changing the oil type or weight isn't going to fix it. I can see running specific stuff in older engines (read prior to 80's) as they were more picky.

If it is an extended drain thing; To me if I am going to spend $20 to try to extend the life of the oil I might as well have just changed it in the first place.

Even the engines prior to the 80s aren't picky, except during break-in.

The 440 in my mother's Ramcharger has 70k+ miles on it with the cheapest motor oil you could buy from autozone and also ran a Fram filter for the longest time.

I think a lot of it is hype.

But I agree with you, I don't find much use for the oil test as I try not to buy vehicles with known motor issues.

Oh please don't tempt me.
$90 a bag full(potato sack size)

But its a Land Rover, obviously more superior then anything you will ever own

From what I found the older yota 4 cylinders and every BMW in the past 10 years loves to burn through oil.

Depending on the year and who they were in bed with BMW recommends Whatever Castrol calls their full synthetic that year or M1.

I use Wal-mart Super tech 5-30 with a AC Delco filter in all my shit. Costs like $14 to do an oil change.

Where's the fun in that?? :wow:

Never said that. Stock for stock, it's better than any other MY95 SUV IMHO. It's a bucket list car for me, when it goes I'll never get another one... Too many other cars I want to own.

Get some cheap LEDs, so you don't burn up your headlight switch.

Like these:
http://www.amazon.com/Signstek-Head...TF8&qid=1425521978&sr=1-11&keywords=led+flood

or if you prefer round:

http://www.amazon.com/Kawell®-Round...TF8&qid=1425522005&sr=1-38&keywords=led+flood

Make sure you get floods if you get LEDs, spots will suck for what you want to use them for (lighting up the trail in front of you)

Rob I ran a 8 inch led bar from amazon for 26 bucks, it was awesome till I bounced it into a tree and shattered the mounts. Plenty of light!
