THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

its not real wheeling unless you have your chauffeur to drive you. the challenge is not to spill merlot on the back seat

Merlot is not classy enough for Adam and his Rover buddies.

I wish I could afford to be classy like the dudes paying $750 dollars to go on a weekend Vermont Overland trip. One guy signed up has a 2015 G550. My only Rover buddies are my long time friend who picked up a rusted non-running Disco for $500 and one of his friends who has had a D90 since his dad bought it new.

part of the fun is to live like the local savages

I agree.

just bring the rover to jeep outings so we can make fun of your headlight washers

then drink and sing Alanis Morissette songs by the campfire

Would cheap 4x4 cree cubes work if you cut the grill a bit more and put them in the slots?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

I need to start working on the NoGo again, I just have zero motivation to do so. Once my heater is on is comfortable in there but I get lazy. I need to buy more 0.023 wire/tips to weld in the new mini tubs.

Too much T-swift.

I've realized something recently. I don't miss my XJ, I don't plan on ever getting another. But I miss the community. Every Land Rover forum discussion turns into a brand bashing I-know-more-than-you cluster**** between everyone. Sure some Jeep people bash others brands, but there are VERY few that are seriously anti-everything except Jeep. I'm going to a Rover-only wheeling/cooking thing (yea, its weird, but my buddy who just got a Disco runs a cooking blog) and its at Lime Rock this summer, so it should be a cool area just to go anyway. But if it turns into some bashfest I doubt I'll ever go to a Rover event every again.

The Fullsize Jeep community is a bunch of old, helpful dudes, one kid who tries way too hard to have the coolest truck in the high school parking lot, one old guy who yells all the time and me.

In other news, any reason to get a shittybuilt/Rugged ridge winch over this one? same price.

http://www.amazon.com/Superwinch-15...&ie=UTF8&qid=1425572421&sr=1-2&keywords=winch

Superwinch is based in CT and has some pretty darn good customer service. They always have a rep at Fall Crawl and fix stuff in the field there too. Of all the Superwinches I've seen people buy the overall quality has been honestly kind of hit and miss, but they do stand behind their products.

Same thing I've heard. Jeremy specifically I know won't buy another Superwinch.
