THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread aka North America Home Owners Association Thread

Finally getting back to my uncle's duster this weekend. Hopefully I can finish weld a few spots on the frame connectors and spray bomb the underneath of the thing. Then throw the tank in along with the gear vendors.

I've been trying to talk him out of the fenderwell headers. They create a whole host of problems.

While I'm waiting for the welds to cool/paint to dry, I'm going to start removing all of the moldings/emblems from my truck. Any good tips here? Nick said fishing line and patience basically...

Heat gun, fishing line, patience, rubbing compound.

I need to start working on the NoGo again, I just have zero motivation to do so. Once my heater is on is comfortable in there but I get lazy. I need to buy more 0.023 wire/tips to weld in the new mini tubs.

hit a massive pothole on the way to work - the road is a minefield. Cracked my windshield at the bottom and it already spread 3". Awesome.

At risk of sounding like an old geezer; the roads this year are the worst I've seen them as far as potholes. They are a mess. Interesting though that once you leave MA state lines they seem to get much better overall, not great but better.

Just use brake fluid, it'll remove the old paint too so it's a win-win

Little bit of the old unibody flex there?

I think that + defroster on full blast heat + icy windshield + 15 year old rock hard urethane

:bs:

I've realized something recently. I don't miss my XJ, I don't plan on ever getting another. But I miss the community. Every Land Rover forum discussion turns into a brand bashing I-know-more-than-you cluster**** between everyone. Sure some Jeep people bash others brands, but there are VERY few that are seriously anti-everything except Jeep. I'm going to a Rover-only wheeling/cooking thing (yea, its weird, but my buddy who just got a Disco runs a cooking blog) and its at Lime Rock this summer, so it should be a cool area just to go anyway. But if it turns into some bashfest I doubt I'll ever go to a Rover event every again.

its not real wheeling unless you have your chauffeur to drive you. the challenge is not to spill merlot on the back seat
