I'll have to see how the truck handles cold start I know now plugs and injectors would be a good thing and both are cheap for a idi
Same engine in our old tow truck, it doesn't love starting in the cold when it's not plugged in. But it starts.

Yup.Yeah but you went to some sketched out gas station that time didn't you Bill?
I've never plugged mine in. Starts right up.Last winter was my first and didn't do anything and it didn't have any problems. Though I did do a lit of research on the matter everyone said for lly not to and I only plugged it in when it dropped below 10 outside power the manual
thats all i needed to know, thanks sirAs far as time of day, it only needs to be plugged in for an hour or two before you'll be starting it. More than that is wasting electricity. You can use a timer like people use on outdoor lights or whatever so you don't have to wake your ass up at 430am to plug the truck in.
i never really noticed a difference between days i plugged and days i didnt plugged. it was slow to crank to come on every time but again i did have old batteries and flakey glow plug module last yearI've never plugged mine in. Starts right up.
yo dizzle guys(Colin, Travis, Bill, Sheep) what treatment do you guys run it the winter for the fuel if any?
Another Halloween with snow?
40% chance of snow this weekend.
but you have to pay extra for the trailerThat motor is probably worth a grand parted out on Ebay. I doubt that trailer would make it too far though
