THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Gonna try and do this before my next show this Saturday.

(adding a coil-splitting DPDT push/pull pot to the bridge pickup on my Jackson)
I tried that but ended up just leaving it in one position. Sounds good.

It's a $10 way to try and put off buying a Telecaster for a little while longer.

The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan TB-4 Trembucker which reportedly splits pretty well; just trying to get a closer approximation to that in-between Stratty kinda sound.

Dude. Just give in.

Better than the money I spent on the pos I call a jeep. :spin1:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So my next topic of cost-reduction: car insurance.

Obviously I expected a spike since my incident a year and a half ago, and swallowed that bitter pill when it came. For some reason though after a full year of no tickets and no claims, my policy increased again to a little over $2k/6 months. F that.

Progressive is ~$1200/6 months, Esurance is ~$1380/6 months, Geico is ~$1560/6 months. Any experiences with any of these or others I should be lookin at?

I use esurance. It's supposed to be through all state. I pay 500/year for just liability. Haven't had to do any claims through them yet. Otherwise I had NJ manufacturers which was fairly expensive but good customer service with claims.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so were building a red robin in the palisades mall, and I have to go pick up the material tomorrow.

Bend them. Those metal studs are useless junk!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't like metal studs either, but they sure do make commercial construction, demolition, and recycling easier.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

There is a red one there right now, not sure what year. Also a green one I know is a 95. I'll check, I'm going tomorrow. I don't think I'll be out your way for a while though so it's probably best if you just pull em yourself, especially since it's only like a 30min drive from you iirc.

Yeah, I'll go pull them on Friday, I just wanted to make sure they had something worth the drive. Thanks dude!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Took the snow tires off last week. With them I could get out my driveway with 10" of snow no problem. Today to get out of 3" I had to rock it a couple times and scissor the wheel to get out. Roads were OK. There was an accident. They were probably idiots.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mine wasn't as slow as I thought it was going to be, but I was nearly involved in a pretty decent accident on 24S around Bridgewater.

I was in the left lane a few hundred feet behind an Impreza. Impreza must've hit some slush with the driver's side tires which yanked it left into the Jersey barrier. Driver then overcorrected and pulled the car to the right across 3 lanes into another vehicle in the right lane. Both of them went into the guardrail and bounced off back into the breakdown lane and right lane. I braked as hard as I could without losing it and went as wide to the left as I could have in case they bounced back hard. Luckily there was a cop not a half mile north of this for another one car accident. I probably should've stopped, but I was well past the scene of the accident once I got to a point where I could've pulled over safely and didn't want to make it worse by adding one more hazard on the right side of the road.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone have experience with Rusty's transfer case skids? Looking at the 231 skid for my ZJ. Pat has one and it has held up well, any other experiences?

I think the long term plan will be to build my own crossmember and skid, but this gets me out wheeling sooner.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Sadly, the shocks for my new rig probably cost more than what you've got into your whole truck. :(
Why the sad face?
Its true. But hey I can say this, Im happy with mine kinda.
Cold weather why you come back?
I was gonna go to work today. Shops closed till night shift and that means no work for me.

This weeks check just hit the shitter. :soapbox:

33 mall terrians 60 percent tread on 15x8 D windows
worth $300?
