depends on how you build it.

you can do it, but if you are using the stock diameter UCA housings thay doesn't leave much rubber bushing to deflect after you add a sleeve in there and your flex will likely suffer.

I don't know where you are going to find a bushing to fit in that with such a large bolt either.

Ballistics got them.

9/16s is more reasonable. Atleast I believe it is?

you mean you are going to chop off the factory uca bushings to run their forged bushings?

I can't help but ask why. everybody has been using the stock stuff with radius arms for about 15 years. No need to spend more money and overcomplicate things to achieve the same end result.

No.
If I were to id get
http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/Ballistic-Bushing-Rebuild-Kit_p_1808.html Turn down the end so itd fit into the factory dana 30 housing.

Also this is all just me looking at some old naxja and pirate 4x4 threads and thinking aloud on what I read.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if your running a y-link on both arms and your D30 I dont see why the 2, 10mill bolts wont be enough.

if you were only doing one then id find a way to do a bigger bolt.

THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Idk eh.

Any one have a 7/8s hiem around? I need a measure from the center of the hiem to the start of the thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

if you never wheel, you wont have to worry about these things.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I cant bail now, Im bringing my boss' son with me and dropping him off at Amherst afterwards. Also picking up another front D60 just over the border in CT too.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I got about an 1.5" thats from where the jam nut bottoms out to center of bolt hole
Thanks.

Ive been out to my jeep 4 times today meaning to measure the distance between my frame rails. Need to do that.

I under stand I ask alot of questions on stuff I dont really need/dont have the money to do.

I also dont wheel alot. I admit it. :scared: I only have on reason and thats I don't know how. The whole just floor it bit broke shit, my lack of crawling skills didnt help.
Im hoping nac fest will get me some more skills, also same for a couple of trips before it.

I was quite the opposite.

I used to wheel like a fetus, always paranoid that I was going to break something and never made it over any cool obstacles.

Now I know when I can hammer down and when I should let off, and sometimes my judgement is off and I break shit anyway.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Well I floored it, and got stuck broke off my exhaust and over heated all in one shot :gee: So im kinda afraid to hammer down.

Eh hope to make the next wheeling trip in my rig.

Drum breaks suck to do, I have to get a spring kit cause I broke one for my 8.25
