THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bend tube over diff.

Fill inbetween tube/diff/axletubes with 3/16" plate.

Drill speed holes where desired.

Extend out to backing plates.

Burn it home.

FINE.

more time wasted where i can just give someone money.

i buy kits.

might just get a big strip of thick plate and bend it around, weld it to the tubes then fill it all in with like 3/16"

i only want speed holes if theres tube going in there. i dont want gay mud to get trapped in it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I hate trusses full of mud and rust.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't think you understood what I was saying.

Similar to how Chris did his front axle.

If you're looking down the axletube, only one 3/16" plate, basically making a "T" where the top of the T is the tube, and the 3/16" plate is the | part of the T.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i know.

i dont like how those look though.

i want this bitch to be pretty

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If you like the TNT truss then buy it.

Don't be surprised when it doesn't fit correctly .

Just grab some box tubing and copy it then. Fill in speed holes with tube.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

something like this

IMG_0076.jpg

i would go all the way to the leaf perches and minus link mounts plus traction bar mounts

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

but taller like this, bot maybe like half the tallness. i dont need a gay ross-like truss

XXXX box tubing. didnt turn out so great last time. i think the way i described doing it would be easier with my gay hand tools

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

spun tubes are a pretty common occurence with these says the internets. and the housings do crack when linked or with traction bars.

so ima booger some metal all over this bitch

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

make it narrower and deal

id have to cut off that dumb truss though and melt a cool one to it

Why narrower?

Dually or C&C hubs won't work?

And honestly if you leave the main piece of 1.75" tube and just cut off the airbump/shock mounts there's probably enough space to put spring perches.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i already have a geared and locked 14 bolt the width i want it, with all the parts i need to get it functional and under my jeep. just wanted some insight on the truss.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Damnit Sam, I legit just threw out my 14b truss templates too. I even have some rect tubing perfect for it. Ill show you some cool pictures of what to do to it. Weld the tubes too, might as well shave it while you're at it. Hell, just drop it off at my house, I gots the 14b stuff needed to make it cool.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Gotcha. The driver side hub seal leaks and 3 out of 4 bolt holes on the yoke are stripped, if that sweetens the deal any.

Whatever you end up doing, I'd tie it into the pinion support bolts...easy enough and it gives you a solid bolted connection to the diff housing instead of relying on something welded...they use a really shitty cast iron on these things. If you're into poopy welds it's right up your alley.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How much do you want for yours anyways chris, I might as well kick some more tires
