Travis, you're getting there. I think yours being 220V will make it easier to get a good weld. It's just a glue gun for steel.

Saw an accident on my way into work this morning. A newer Volvo slammed the back of something. The Volvo lost all of it's engine oil and made a pool about 30' long in the center of the lane. When I ride my motorcycle to work tomorrow I'll be sure to avoid that lane.

Thanks dude. And I'm continually amazed by how much the tack welds hold.

There are 4 on each shackle hanger, and 6 on each DOM sleeve.

I can bounce up and down on the bed all day long and they don't go anywhere. There were jackstands underneath the frame while I was under it though, just in case.

Apparently I'm an awesome tack welder.

Any concern about the leafs riding over stuff as you drop down off of things? Not a deal breaker, but something I'd imagine you'll want to keep an eye out for.

Yeah I was unsure about the motor mount brackets, but again I had 6 tack welds on each tab and they held the weight of the engine/trans no problem.

Well, of course they're going hit on stuff but it's not a big concern. As long as I don't haul ass straight back into something then they should be ok :laugh:

Again, if something happens to them, I only have about $25 into them so I won't be too upset.

I want to go weld stuff.

Most of this week is going to be working on my VPN presentation for my networking class. Hopefully I can pound that out in 2-3 nights. The other night will probably be working on my capstone project.
