THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I know how C clips work, i was just concerned with alignment on re-assembly.
It's not hard. Just gotta be mindful of the slots in the 2 center pieces. and where they're aimed. Working with the c-clips is more of a PITA than actually getting it all aligned, and they're not even that bad.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

colin how close is ross to you? If he is close billy would you want to grab a upper control arm mount from colin. Then i can meet you some where on you way back to westernmass? im not sure what way your going to go but i can meet you at a rest stop on the pike or even route nine.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I want to build a cheap/free sub box for my civic. Anthony, got any stuff laying around that I could steal from you? I have an amp already. I need a sub (maybe 8" or 10") and I want to make a box that fits under the spare tire cover.
OK ANTHONY
No one here builds jeeps anymore.

All about building the DD.
fortunately this is the same thing for me, hell I'm dding the 96 because the mj still isn't fixed, I've been getting home around 8pm every night and haven't had the motivation to do shit with it.

fix your jeep and come wheelin sunday
x2

Problem with that...Ken you wouldn't want to head down my way tomorrow night for Billy's stuff would you?

Just out of curiousity...
its kinda a longish drive but sure, I just need to toss a downpipe in the 96 tonight so I stop tossing half my fuel out the tailpipe and can actually accelerate again.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I want to pad the fuel cell mount with rubber (adhesive backed) from mcmaster (93625K235). A 10' strip gives me just enough to cover (2) 1.5" straps, and a 1.5 angle base.
Garage door weatherstripping. Home Peepot has it for cheap.
Fawking D-max, got the hubs and everything torn down off the AAM 11.5. Big stuff!!! E-brake shoes are worn down the metal, searching parts online now and then heading up to Napa.
Stop beating on the poor truck.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

how hard was it to install your rear locker? I've heard doing an aussie on a c cliped axle sucks

When I did the no-slip in my 8.25 it wasn't bad. Just make sure everything gets aligned properly. The c-clips are easy to get off the axle shaft. After you take the cross pin out just push the shaft it in and wiggle the shaft rotationally and they fall off.
It's easy as shit. You can do the entire thing in about 1.5/2 hours. Hell,I can do it so it can't be hard.

OK ANTHONY

Got some 4 gauge that i can steal from you? Maybe some RCA signal cables? How about a small amp. My amp is way too big for what I need.

I KNOW YOU GOT SOMETHING KEN DON'T LIE TO ME!

Fawk a duck, add rear u-joint at axle to the list, its gross. The new shoes have a tab hanging off the bottom which I gotta trim off in order for the shoe to seat properly.

Ross is like 20 minutes from my house, probably on Billy's way back.

Up to him if he wants to stop there and if Ross has it ready.

Ya bob, i'll grab it for you. As long as ross is up when i'm going by.

I'll torch the mount off tomorrow afternoon and have it ready.

Stop beating on the poor truck.

Wasnt me!!!

Time for some leftover meatloaf lunch, hopefully get one set of seats modded and assembled, then I gotta get ready to go into Boston for the Bruins game!!

Might as well do the hub seals while you've got it apart. I had to do mine not too long ago.

Also, make sure you get the AAM-sized u-joint and not a Spicer-sized joint.

I have some 4ga but its ghetto and I tore it out of the wiring harness in an f150. No rca cables but bring me cut to length cable and connectors and I can solder it up no problem. No amp because I have never needed one.

I might run to You Do It Electronics and grab some cheap stuff.
