THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I said the same thing after playing 1080 snowboarding. My tailbone was never the same...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That was my LTC, never had a FID because there wasn't any need for me at 18, and its the same exact class and most likely process for FID and LTC.

I also had heard from a person or two that I got mine fairly fast.

Are you in an "unrestricted" friendly town?
Great...

Yep. Westport has the highest percentage of LTC A havers in the state :D (it's also on the 'green' list on NES)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

LTC A and LTC A unrestricted (or all lawful purposes) are not the same. I have a Class A LTC All lawful purposes. Meaning I can carry concealed. Many places put restrictions on, so that you can't carry concealed, etc. You can still own a pistol, but the freedom you have with it is cut down.

Class A is large capacity rifle and pistol, B is mace.

I suppose that's one of the things I'd learn in the class. Why don't they just make each 'level' a different letter? Seems like that would make more sense. Oh wait. It's MA we're talking about.

Nonetheless, Westport is known for issuing LTC A unrestricted for first time applicants. http://www.northeastshooters.com/vb...uide-to-gun-rights-in-your-Massachusetts-town

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

im getting a haircut tomorrow.. debating whether to keep it short or let it grow a bit longer again..

I get a haircut every 8-10 months. I used to get it shaved when I got it cut. That got me almost a year. My girlfriend doesn't like that.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hey Ken, did you see they're opening a Tractor Supply in Sturbridge next month?

I only saw that because I went to check on the one opening by me, and saw that it opened two weeks ago...sweet. :D

Damn that's awesome. Nearest are in putnam ct and spencer ma right now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Don't bother.

A friend of mine bought one cheap off a law enforcement buddy...he'd just gotten it back from the factory after getting it 'reconditioned'.

Took one trip to the range to figure out why he got such a good deal on it...basically a piece of crap. Even after getting it reconditioned the thing would still jam and basically it just felt clunky and cheap.

edit: plus it's double-action only. Not a fan.

If you still want one, he's still got it on consignment at Brick Armory in Brick NJ setup for .40...it's been there for almost a year now, you could probably get a good deal on it.

I dunno, might be an anomoly. Complete opposite, the best pattern I've ever shot with a handgun was with a P229, which will be my first purchase once I get all my paperwork stuff in motion. Second best was my same friend's Kimber Classic 1911.

me and 4 friends split one...its awesome. theres vids of me shooting it on FB. the recoil is really not that bad. the worst part is the $5/round. shoulder firing is also a nearly impossible task.

I've never seen that model before, but the double action only thing is a turn off for me too.

I've shot a P229 too. I haven't shot very many pistols, but that one is my favorite so far. It just feels right. It's my best friend's duty weapon and my father owns one.

I've never even handled a Kimber, but read good things. I wish they weren't nearly all illegal in this state.

There's an outdoor range very close to my house but I'm not a member... Do most outdoor ranges have a 'show up, pay, and shoot' policy?

The Kimber is arguably a 'better' gun, I just didn't like it as much. It also has a grip safety which isn't my first choice...it's nearly un-noticeable when you're firing it, but I just like the way the P229 operates overall.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Blah, I don't like their website. I don't want to read about how awesome they think their gun is. I want models and specs.
