THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

well I can't see your pics ross, but if thats the treps/iroks, if you didn't feel the need to shorten your axles and be a cool cat, I'd say whatever. but since your narrowed them, I'd say good luck with 40s

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

coool beanz dood. Yeah, before I bother with bigger tires I have other things on the list, like a cage first and foremost. Then shafts for the front probably, although then I'm going to want 35 spline stubs and flanges, but with the welded front end I'd also want a selectable, so the money starts to add up quick hah. Yeah, 37s are fine for me for quite awhile :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My dad got a rejection sticker on his '00 wrangler today. When plugged in, the computer said it couldn't make any connections with the sensors or anything. Like what happens after you disconnect the battery or get it jumped. The thing is, the battery hasn't been disconnected and it hasn't been jumped in the longest time.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i was already planning on all that junk to make it last with the treps anyways so it should be all good. Treps are almost a little to badass for me at this point right now, im not gunna be doin any comps or crazy super duper stuff (yet).

usually a faulty ground or connection issue at the OBDII diagnostic port, scanners will show a non-readable condition.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hmm.

I also got my check engine codes read today. I figured I would get the first one, but I didn't think I would get the second one.

P0705- Transmission range sensor circuit malfunction (I don't have reverse lights, I cleaned the NSS a couple years ago, I'll just switch it with the one off the red jeep's old transmission)
P1491- Radiator fan relay circuit condition: ECM detected an open or shorted condition in the radiator fan relay circuit.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

anybody around here torn an 8.8 open? any special junk inside to be aware of?
Not really, will have an abs tone ring on the carrier, make sure you use a 5/16 6pt wrench on the cross pin bolt after applying a decent amount of heat to the carrier just below the head, else you'll round that shit off, ask me how I know... oh and I have 2 spare cross pin bolts brand new if you need em, had to buy a bag of 3

Mark, sounds like a radiator fan override gone bad?

Oh and Ross I want to see how you are going to make 40s clear the LCAs on a narrowed 60! So do the trade! :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Fine, how about inboarded LCA frame mounts? The axle LCA mounts are already setup to kick the arm back at a sharper angle to help with tire clearence.

Better answer?

I have attempted no such thing yet. That circuit is completely untouched by me.

I have noticed on more than one occasion the relay for the fan in the PDC "buzzing." I have walked near my Jeep, heard a buzzing noise, and it turns out to be the relay. Never sure why it has done that, but it's happened for a few years, not often, but on more than one occasion.

fibe? What is that?
Aren't your axle mounts pretty much straight back? Maybe 10 degrees?

Good luck dude, good luck.
