Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i think ive decided to run behind the axle steering on my 60. thoughts?

its gonna be full hydro so linkages arent a problem, axle is a 79 d60 goin in a wrangler on airshocks
just run it in the frt, copy bills setup and be done with it

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i wish i had the money and a way to get the 95xj thats for sale on neow, would be a perfect fc rig, dosnt help that its 2.5hrs away

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'd rather helicoil than mess with the damn unit bearing bolts and balljoint nuts again, otherwise I'd totally agree.

EDIT: yeah, rob's got a point, my 96's passenger side has one stripped bolt but it's holding fine (the bolt is in, but it spins if you try and tighten it. I check it before I ever drive the thing)

It just went together a year ago. I had the shafts out not too long ago and I antiseized the hub bearing to make it easy to pull on the trail. I keep loosing bolts on that hole. I mistakenly put in 5/16-18 in there, but I looked at the other side today and realized it was M8x1.25. Both bolts on that side striped out

if you get one thats a pain in the ass, it's only a pain in the ass the first time. just anti sieze it all.

its good to take it all apart and lube it all up if you wheel too. makes trail repairs go much smoother.

:firedevil:

the mustang is almost done. everything is in, odds and ends need to be hooked up. waiting on the radiator tomorrow hopefully. got the brakes mostly squared away, just gotta cut down an adapter line and re-flare. im pretty sure the old red top for it is toast, it sat for pretty much 6 years and now a "full charge" is around 10.5V which leads my to believe a cell is busted. drop the carb on and hook up fuel line, do some other junk and it may just be running. too bad we gotta install a kitchen the next couple of days :/
