just spent 90% of the weekend installing the TJ flares and doing hood vents. Going over the whole rig this coming weekend, oil change too.

Fixed the alignment on Sat. Took out 7 degrees of caster and put it back to 0 toe.
Installed the suspension seats that have been sitting in my shed for 3 years. When I asked my wife about harnesses, she said "That's what the seats are for, aren't they?"
So the harnesses are in the mail
I have some pictures of the seat install. Took me about 3 hours, very easy. But with the width of the seat frame and the tranny tunnel in an XJ, the seats sit a little higher. It's ok for me because I'm 5'9, but anyone over 6 feet might feel uncomfortable.

Went to grease all the bearings in my front end yesterday, they look exactly like they did a year ago (clean grease) so I didn't end up doing them. When I was putting everything back together I noticed some slop in my axle ujoints, so now I have to get new bearing caps for yukon joints.......

Just need to take my driveshaft over on Friday and have it retubed and a new u-joint put in on the axle end, and then make a trailer wire extension since I will be using a borrowed trailer, not even gonna bother to try and finish replacing leafs and get 2 new rims and 2 new tires for my trailer by then I have till May to get my trailer ready for the comp season

^^ ouch! that seems a bit steep...but again I run cheap joints compared to you.
We should build an O2 stim and just fix it.
Jennie would really like for me to fix the door handle on te passenger door.
On the plus side. The MJ now has a rear suspension and new axles. I'm dropping the driveshaft off to be shortened and retubed tomorrow, driveshaft guy says it will be done next day. Now that my rear end is in I can order my shocks from Jason. I've got the harmonic balancer to do and front brake lines, and fluid changes and then it's wheelable. Not going to get to the belly pan it looks like. Oh well, the stocker has survived this long, I can make it last one more run.

That reminds me, I need to pull those doors out of storage and bring them.
Bring the skid if you don't think you'll have time. We did mine at the cabin in tellico remember? All it takes is a tap and 6 bolts.
my old x-member has been welded on (hillbilly before me, I promise), and I do not have the extra nutserts because my junk is 5spd from the factory.
I'll do it when I get back.
I was jst happy to get the rear axle under the junk and get it off jacksatands. it's all downhill from here, I even have a whole weekend to spare!

Ordered my hitch insert so i can drag the camper up. Camper and Tracker getting plates tomorrow, Still need to fix my rear brakes on the jeep.

got the tires put on the trailer today and my new-to-me GN trailer is being delivered tomorrow. My GN ball in the new truck was seized in upside down, so it took us 2 hours with a torch, penatrating oil and sledge hammers to free it. Thinking about pulling the GN out w/ the camper and XJ on it, Hillbilly hauler style...all depends if I can get the camper up on the trailer without much effort.

Are the jacks that support it wide enough to fit around the trailer? Seems like that would make it pretty easy. Otherwise, you live on a farm, should be able to find a tractor and some chains/straps and figure it out, agricultural engineering-style! Or if you lived further south I'd suggest a tall tree and a chain-fall!

jacks are too narrow from first looks...gonna get trailer on site tomorrow and measure it. JR and I were discussing some ideas we have to get it on there. I dont have a loader tractor at my house right now and Camilles dad has the others in daily use right now. I may be able to rig something up using hydraulic arms off the back of my tractor and make it work. also need to measure the height of the GN from deck to top of neck to see if camper will clear it. The camper needs a 2x4 put in my truck bed to give it enough height to not rub on the roof of my truck. I am thinking about making a small porch/patio off the back of the truck for the camper to connect to my trailer once parked.

I made brackets to make my jacks wider with some plate and 2x2 steel...added like 8 inches to each side to get the camper on the dually...
