The :sunshine: weather has finally arrived and I think its about time I come out of my winter hibernation mode and start doing something physical.

So what does your typical exercise routine consist of and how often do you workout?

I get up each & every day. JIM.

I ride my road bike down the Pass to Colorado Springs and back up again. The mileage isn't much but the climbing makes up for it. I think it ends up being a climb of about 15 miles at anything from 6-8% grade. We don't have anything like that in MO. I do this about 3 times each week. The other days I'm usually riding the trainer so I can get an easy spin in to flush all the junk out. Now that my illustrious motorcycle career is officially over, I'd like to see if I can get back into decent enough shape to race on 2 wheels without a motor again.
My other form of routine exercise would be all the walking I do while on the river.

You, sir, are the Richard Simmons of NAXJA. :)

NOTHING, although I do find myself mowing the lawn on occasion..

Let's see:
Basketball twice a week
Soccer on Saturdays
Biking (road and mountain) at least twice a week.
Tennis whenever possible.

Hmmm, why isn't my jeep done?

I work for a local FD. The dept. allows 2 hrs for physical fitness every day that our officers aren't supposed to interfere with. I will usually run for 30-45 min and then weight train for an hour or so. When I am not at the station I have a lawn service I run by myself. I mow about 20-25 yards a week.

Daily:
0530-0615 Cardio (elliptical machine, bike, stairs, etc)
0630-0745 PT with the platoon (run, muscular endurance/strength, sprints)

3x week
1530-1700
cardio/pool/weight training

1x week
12-15 mile footmarch w/full kit (around 70 lbs)

And I'm STILL fat. :D

:roflmao:

I used to be a big workout fiend....would run 9 miles 3 times week and go weight lift, but then again I would play on the football team...

Now that I have my Jeep project....hmm absolutely nothing....I really should though if not to lose teh 5-15 pound of fat I have then to at least keep this heart healthy.

Lately I've been slacking since school is catching up with me. But, my parents go to the gym religiously, so I usually tag along, or go whenever I don't have to work after school. I am rather fond of the treadmill and eliptical machines. There is also a park that I can walk to from our neighborhood, so I go for short hikes a lot to clear my head, or I ride my bike once it gets a little warmer. I love CO. : )

At the gym, I do cario, my physical therapy, and the various muscle groups, three days a week.

At work, I never take the lift, and our trailers are close to 1/4 mile away, so I walk enough during the day to burn up some calories.

I'm nice and happy at 6' and 215lbs. Been as high as 260 in HS, and 180 in the Army.

i work for a contracter, the other day i carried $15,000 in trex decking materials, including the railposts up a ladder. the day before i carried 30 50 pound bags of concreat about fifty feet up hill.
you guys have to excresize?
i can barely move after work!

I'm up to 45min of cardio plus about an hour of weight lifting 5-6 days a week. I also will start to ride my mountain bike a couple times a week now that summer's here. Golf once a week (if that counts) and do MULTIPLE 12oz CURLS EVERY NIGHT before hitting the sack.

i used to get enough of a workout at work. i used to do a lot of weekend warrior stuff, basketball, tennis, and then in later years golf, now because of arthritis and laziness i dont do too much sports, i am so tired when i get home some days, i just sit on my butt, especially in the winter. a good workout for me is new batteries in my remote control!!!!
