Ted goes off the deep end.

Yes. And what rights are most valuable to you pretty much defines what way you lean. Left or right.

Gun rights, land access are two of my biggest concerns. Obama is the biggest threat to them. At least as far as presidential candidates that have half a chance of winning.
Yep, those are pretty important to me. But so is the right to privacy. Now that the gov't has the ability to monitor my communications with only minimal cause, I've lost that. I don't wish to pick and choose which rights I get to keep. The Constitution lays out specific rights and I would like for all of them to be upheld. How do you decide which is more fundamental?

Like I said. Typical. You'll come here, spout off with your stupid opinions then when someone calls you on them you find an excuse not to answer.

The resident pothead shows his intelligence yet again.

I'm no fan of the patriot act or any of the other similar but slightly less explosive laws that have come in after but honestly, it doesn't affect my day to day life like the right to keep my guns or the right to go wheeling in the places I love.

While I don't like the idea of the government listening in on my conversations, I know the chances of that are pretty slim and even if they did, I'm not worried about anything they could hear. I do however shoot at least once a week. I own a lot of guns that even if they don't take "all" gun ownership rights away there is a food chance they could take these guns. I also try to get out and explore once a week or so, usually this is combined with the time I spend shooting.

Both of these impact my life in a huge way.....directly.

BTW, Bush signed the patriot act into law but I've never heard Obama say we should get rid of it.

Arguing with morons like you, is pointless. So I don't. Stating opinions is another thing altogether. You can't handle any opinion that is contrary to your narrow minded view. I can't change that by arguing. Someday you too will figure that out, when you grow up. Maybe.:banghead:

I am not even going to begin to try to convince you XJeeper. Nothing I could say or dig up would be enough for you to vote for him.
Your mind is already made up, as is mine.

I base my opinions on facts, and the actions of the candidate. As a registered Independant, I'm still looking for the most qualified candidate to lead our country.

If Obama has done nothing that will convince me that he deserves re-election, please explain why YOU feel that he should be?

I could, but for what purpose? Just to have you tell me how wrong I am? I'ts an OPINION. We all have them, and they are formed by me similar to how you form yours. (Assuming you are a thinking feeling being). I will readily admit that selective abstraction affects my opinions. (Google it if you need.:compwork:). Will you admit to the same?

so what your saying is you take stuff out of context, make assumptions form and opinion then think obama needs to be re-elected?

that explains everything then.

IIRC, not renewing the Patriot Act was part of Obama's campaign. He then went ahead and renewed it. That was a big part of the realization that both sides are working towards the same goals. Both sides want us to be somewhat dependent on them and want us to fall in line so that we don't get no crazy ideas about revolution again.

I'm voting Carolla.

My opinion... the 420 guy is a fool. No, I do not need to back it up. His posts speak volumes. That is my opinion.

May 3rd, I will be attending a concert here in town. Ted Nugent. IMHO, I will have a great time.

Have fun at your concert glen :)

Thanks. Should be a great weekend. REO Speedwagon, STYX, Nugent on the 3rd. 4th and 5th at the desert races. 6th is my birthday.
