A little behind on updating here, after losing my phone and two weeks worth of photos.

Last night I pulled the fuel cell apart to clean it, add fuel pickups and do a final assembly.

I knew there was safety foam inside, but for whatever reason i didnt expect it to be a bunch of free floating blocks of foam.

We're running four Walbro pickups. They are supposed to pick up fuel when submerged, but as soon as they come in contact with air, will close and allow other pickups that are still wet to do their job.

Stack the foam back in like lincoln logs so they don't flop around, and connect the fuel pickup line.

And re-assemble the fill neck assembly oriented correctly

Other than that the last week has been a lot of mounting beadlocks and ordering more parts. This weekend we should get a LOT done and have plenty of updates for Monday.

which is what i had expected to find, although i found this easy to work with and am very happy with it.

Rock rail being welded to rear quarter armour. We're welding stuff all over, keeping the car rigid.

Looks great! Is boost allowed in that class?

I've never seen those walbro pickups before. Pretty clever idea. Most of the roadrace setups utilize a "box" with trap doors.

How much travel are you looking for out of the rear?

The Walbro's work pretty well, I've been running them on the buggy for over 4 yrs with no issues.

It's hard to tell on rear wheel travel, whatever the Deaver's provide. We'd like 13-14" but don't know that we'll get it. Our shocks are 11" travel but are mounted with some angle.

Snapped these off of the backyard 2 minutes ago, raining pretty good now. Cal is under the rig with others (im bad with names) with Richard and James game planning at the garage. They are still pushing!

No, turbocharging or supercharging is not allowed, unless it came with it stock.

We still have a looooong way to go, and not much time left. Here's some pics from last weekend.

This is how we're protecting the rear quarter panels and the tail lights. Rules say we must run the stock tail lights and they have to work. We're also putting lights in the metal panels on the sides of the hatch, so we still have legal lights if the stock ones get broken. The hatch will have four lights, two red tail lights, and an amber light and a blue light. The hatch will be held closed by hood pins in those panels in the lower corners of the hatch.
