Team NAXJA/Petty Cash Racing stock class KOH XJ build

Its funny you say that.

We leave someone with a laptop and a 4G card to watch the live stream and tell us how we're doing on the course.. it gets better info than we do.

I know of probably 3 or so other teams offhand that do that as well.

A buddy of mine's tracker has stopped working halfway through the first lap the last two years in a row now.

The live feed is awesome, I usually bring it up on my desktop (dual monitor) and let it run.

The last time I was out there, I headed back from Chocolate Thunder and just hungout in Hammertown and got drunk and watched the feed there. Way easier and didn't get sand in all the fun places :D

We were at remote pit 2 in '13 with a dozen teams huddled around my phone trying to figure when the cars were coming in.

And just a reminder to ANYONE going, those rangers are out in force looking for a reason to pull you over. Don't have a couple beers and hop in your rig.

If you do get pulled over remember to let them know that your taxes pay their salary and they probably got beat up as kids in school. It also helps to tell them that you know you're good to drive and nobody really cares about those stupid registration fees, anyway.

Don't forget to notice that their eyes are glazed, and make sure you ask if they've been eating donuts...

Not many photos this weekend. All work and no camera.

We found a dent in a shock body on final inspection. Was stopping the shock from drooping its last 1.5" or so. Not a very big dent, but it was enough that we couldn't pull the piston past it.

After talking to some experts, Dallas rigged up the chain hoist to split the shock.

Totally not sketchy. :)

Bilstein is going to hone the inside bore of the shock to remove the dents protrusion, and we'll reassemble with new wear parts.

Car's back on the ground. The new tires totally change the look of the car (for the better). I'm excited to run these.

Once it was back on the ground, we were finally able to throw some load on the new winchline and spool it in tight (do you remember the winchline? that was the first thing we touched for this prep, and apparently the last as well).

Threw the MJ in reverse and pulled against its engine at idle.

Once that shock is back from Bilstein we'll be ready to go do some quick shake down, then clean and sticker the car with the new sponsors.

All unicorns aside;

for any of you who intend to come out and pit with us on race day this year, reach out to me. they have changed the process of getting pit bands and it has to be done in advance.

PM me here and I'll send you the instructions.

Looks like you found stickers. Sorry, I forgot to reconnect on that.
