...sorry...another build thread...

Holy crap, turned up to about 40 amps it just through 1/4" plate like its nothing. We will see over time if this thing lasts or not. But so far it does what I need. I need to rip through a 3/8 belly pan to install it on the MJ so ill find out then.

it definitely cheap chinese crap, but for 215$ shipped, it does work out of the box, and it got here in 3 days-it shipped out of SoCal. just had to buy a 220V plug and wire it up.

I would not bother with the 110v/220v machines for these cheap Cut50 types since they cost more, just get the cheap 220v only one. Maybe a better machine would do better on 110v though.

Now you will all just need to watch this thread over time to see if this POS lasts or not . I am hoping to get at least a year out of it with moderate use.

Still want to eventually get a Hobart 700ci .

I made this, but it is dangerous if you work with others, someone might plug into it and . . .

My Plasma auto switches between 110 and 220 as well, but it cuts much better with 220, also a inline air filter helps you get cleaner cuts takes out moisture and contaminants.

Some freehand, little sloppy but the clean up was not too bad:

I will leave it 220 V for now. I don't plan on using the 110V .

I need to notch the new belly pan for the MJ so this should be fun to test it out since that is 3/8" thick....

The cuts seem really clean if I keep the heat up and move evenly across the material, its when I turn the heat down and/or go to fast that it really starts to slag up .

For cuts that don't have to be perfect, this thing will look great. and for notching out square holes for trailer hitches to be welded into 2x4 rectangular tubing this will just be plain awesome compared to 4.5" angle grinder.

Not too worried about its ability to cut since it can cut, its more the longevity of the machine , perhaps the board frying prematurely or something like that.

I think I need to move back to Sactown so I can come over and use your toys.

Redoing the B pillars and spreader .

Hood is back on

Threw this cover on

Finally getting to installing the new seats.

I am going to try to finish and start all of the cage work on the XJ this weekend.

for now just going to use stock brackets and make adaparters - later on down the road I will tie it into the cage.

So I will no longer have rear seat passengers. the B pillar now mounts there.

My doors don't open worth a damn , the windows don't like to go up or down and the rear doors don't line up well. its all a little tweaked. I need to seal the old B pillar holes too.

Its getting a comanche tail gate soon.

Im going to add a B pillar spreader for the Harnesses tomorrow and some spreaders between the B and C pillars inside- Might do an "X" on the B pillars and the C pillar too.

PRP DD seat +4 on a factory mount for now:

just going to replace the lower portion of the hatch with a MJ tail gate. Thats been on the books for at least a year. Just need time to make it happen. I like the 4runner style drop down gate.

Jon's 93rd part out rig is in my driveway waiting for me to get off my ass and trailer it down the hill to him... gotta say this is one of my favorites. If it were mine I'd replace some heims, green sticker it and wheel it, everywhere... someone's gonna get some sweet parts out of this thing.

If I could afford to build another jeep I would. After dumping a ton of money into the MJ and the XJ I just don't have the bandwidth time or money to do a third rig but if I did it would be this rig in a heart beat .
