lets try to get a SR(or niagara or hell hole or rubicon) trip with jake, kevin and I caravanning from sac and patrick from santa cruz-- and anyone else who wants to go. I do love that trail.

I'm down I'll send you a pm with my number and we can chat more in Reno
My weekends are always clear and I don't mind taking a Monday or Friday off

I wanted to take my bud on his first trail ride to SR so I figured that'd be a good start for open/open 3" on 32s

awesome. I've brought a few buds on 31s/open/open a few times, but its some work when the trail gets bad.

I'm down for any and all of those trails. as long as they're weekend trips. jon have you checked out the budget stroker site?

ya I work M-F so lets plan on friday after work(leave early to pack up?)

I don't think I've seen the budget stroker site? I know there is an XJ stroker site though

Pinion skid and tranny skid

dude you guys are getting me excited. I usually pack up on thursday night so I'm ready to just come home and throw the cooler in the jeep. I pack light.
and this was the site I was thinking. I'm sure you've seen it http://www.jeep4.0performance.4mg.com/stroker.html

I like the trans skid. looks like the idea I had in mind. I have to fully redo the belly pan, the one I had planned won't be strong enough for rock bouncing.

I always pack the night before. Lately I started packing the cooler in the rig with tons of block ice too the night before. Just pretend it's a 4 day trip. Everything stays cold

I pack a handful of tools, buncha beer, 7 ham and cheese lunchables, bag of chips, buncha beer, and a place to sleep. I don't know how you manage to bring a thousand pounds of gear lol

I have a "kitchen" box(8 gallon roughneck size) , a camping gear box(8 gallon roughneck size) , a big cooler, 2 tool bags, 2 DS, front shafts, spare front stubs, tons of fluids(brake fluid, gear oil, tray fluid, 20w-50 motor oil, power steering fluid, PB plaster, etc) a small fold up table , chairs, tent, big ass queen sized sleeping bag, queen sized air mattress, water bottles, water jug, cooking grate, dutch oven, lanterns, flash lights, ammo, firearms, fishing gear, chairs, side tables, charcoal, horseshoes, med kit, propane, tow strap, air compressor, more spare parts under the back seat, high lift, shovels, axe, chainsaw, then for other folks : add sleeping bags, air mattress , ammo, firearms, food, gear bags, etc and it adds up fast.

and sometimes a dirt bike. and other stuff I am forgetting.

only the necessities right?
that's a ton of stuff man. I'm mostly useless. I don't cook just bring snacks. I usually wheel until I'm too tired to continue, then whip out a sleeping bag, start a fire, eat a granola bar, and pass out. wake up, repeat

I used to carry a lot more stuff but never ended up using it. so I cut the fat out. besides, if you have all that stuff packed it's gonna get wet at fordyce anyway!

honestly for the rubicon I bring substantially less stuff, so ya for fordyce I would do even less .

oh that's right. I forget that you're into camping and other activities besides wheeling. yeah I'd probably bring a crap ton more stuff if I was planning on a couple day trip that wasn't as demanding on the vehicle. I've always wanted to try strawberry and SR. just to check out some new places. have you ever thought about taking a journey to dusy?

Ya I've heard of it and always wanted to run it. when ?

Slapped some new hard lines on the rear. Instead of going under the leaves and around the back going up over the packs now. Bleeding the brakes sucks. Have to remove calipers and put em right side up and stuff some metal in between the piston and housing. But brakes are solid.

Paint

Gutted the condenser . Had the system professionally evacuated at my house today. Relocating the tranny cooler and putting a ps cooler back in .

So when are we doing swamp lake? June or July?

the 6-7th is probably the niagara rim run which we can all do , but maybe we can switch things around at this point and push that back, or bring it into late May after reno?

the radiator is the biggest 2 core all aluminum I could find. american eagle, 2 core, 1" rows.
