Sorry to hear it is giving you so much trouble. This is way beyond my skills to figure out.
If toe out is getting rid of death wobble, then your issue is in the trackbar or drag link/steering box.
Please explain your logic. I'm curious.
Honestly, I can't.
the physics of how toe-in affects the harmonics of the trackbar/draglink were explained to me once, but I didn't understand it then, and I couldn't properly explain it now.
basically the tires being toed out not allowing the harmonic oscillation that results in death wobble to build.
all I can say is the guy who explained it to me and told me how to use toe-out to diagnose death wobble is one of the smartest people around and probably knows more about the suspension and steering involved in solid axle'd vehicles than anyone.
and it works. I have used the technique to diagnose worn out steering boxes, worn out Tie-rod ends, worn out trackbar joints, etc.
Nice, good to know rockclimber. Ill try some toe out to see how it does.
well since box is new, and the hiems only have 3 easy runs, I am thinking its either the tires, or maybe some shot hiems all around, which would make me less stoked on ruffstuff hiems if they only lasted 3 easier runs, I cant imagine putting it through some hell.
I also like the go pro idea, just need to get a go pro.
140$ for everything is pretty good.
