...sorry...another build thread...

Thanks for the reminder about the rebate, I almost forgot to send in the Rebate request for my new tires.

Dude Jon for the amount of street time vs off road it may see.. and the fact that I love mtrs I think. it's a no brainer.. kevlars bruh
don't run stocks. Check out level 8 bully pro rims.. I might just pull the trigger on them too and they sexy AF

I am leaning towards 32x11.5x15 mtr kevlars and some summit racing black bart rims with 4" BS (45$ each...)

If you dont mind a little rock rash or banging out small dents, the set of rims on Seal's jeep currently will be for sale. 4 black d windows with 5th being a street lock version (15x8). 4" bs

Not sure what your timeframe is on when you want them by. I'll sell them for $150

Thats what I'm running on mine. Cant say enough good stuff about them (tires). 32's have been plenty big for every where I've taken it too, and don't feel to heavy on the jeep either.

I can get 4 brand new rims from summit for 180$ shipped so ill pass on them for 150$. I would have to get them for around 80$ to sway my decision especially if I have to wait for them.

so wrangler MTRs in the 32" size are 31.8" and 190$ each,
kumho 32" are 32" and 161$ each
33/12.5/15 MTRs are 32.8 and 205$, it seems the kumhos are a decent tire bang for the buck and they have more tread depth from the factory than the MTRs. its tempting.
the kunhos are in between the 32 and 33" wrangler MTRs in size and much much cheaper than either. I think they are worth trying.

I mean at 644$ for 4 then 180$ for brand new rims, not too bad.

Thank you for the research on the tires. I am already benefiting from your new rig. :)

Good luck, I trolled CL for a few months and finally caved for brand new set of 4.

I just bought 4 32x11.5 km2s for the gf for 100. About 40-60% tread and all even no cracks :)

damn thats an amazing deal. maybe ill wait.

keep in mind jon... you don't drive around on a price tag. get what works for you. Troll craigslist. You will almost always be disappointed if you buy important parts on price alone.

I am leaning towards brand new 33x12.5x15 MTRs or brand new 33x10.5x15 KM2s from a pirate vendor shipped mounted and balanced on cheap black steelies ready to bolt up for about 1060 on the MTRs and I think below 1000$ on the KM2s....but I hate KM2s...so it will probably be the MTRs

Can't go wrong with the mtr's. There's a reason why a lot of people run then haha.

MJ build:

Stock gears
Lunchbox lockers front and rear
new 33" MTRs and black steelies
add a leaf and shackle in the rear
3.5" coils up front
bilstein 5100 fornt and rear
upgraded tie rod
RE trackbar and bracket
RE discos
RE front brakelines
dakota rear brakelines
front prothanes
ruffsrtuff rear 44 cover
solid dana 30 cover
one piece shaft conversion
alloy outer seals

build some sliders
build a rear bumper

ditch the alloy outer seals. waste of money. they do more harm than good.

you'll hate 33"s and stock gears, but that's your choice.

I'm getting rid of the disco 3 piece shaft and dont want to deal with an inner seal so I am doing an outer seal only on the pass side. quick and dirty.

33s do suck on stock gears, I did it for years.Ill regear it myself to 4.56 or 4.88 next winter and just get gears from rwkhaus and minor install kits.

this is not going to get the crap beaten out of it like the silverback, but I do plan on wheeling it a lot regardless.

I wont be putting in a rear locker for a while.
