...sorry...another build thread...

Ohhhhh I see, makes sense now. Thanks. Looks good though, should steer nice in the rocks.

Now I have death wobble which I did not have before. I have twitchy fast steering which I did not have before and it seems like there a lot less power steering in the center of the thing I can barely turn it. I have no idea but WTF. I did put in new track bar heims, inner frame rial plating, a borgeson steering shaft, and hydro assist since I last drove so I expected it to be better than ever and its the worst its ever been. Probably going to pull the ram off and see what Happens. I did have the axle hanging off the driver shock at max droop maybe the driver shock lost all the no2 maybe? the track bar is not adjusted right either the pass coil is resting on the frame. fubar all over. Man. I should have left it alone the way it was.

Did you ever end up changing the springs out after Reno? I seem to recall one of them was tweaked.

I think so ya.
I think I swapped both out.

A Ram should never ever slow your steering down. Something is wrong.

Properly set up your ram should be invisible to you as a driver. No matter the conditions in which you are driving.

Whoever you talked to at PSC either misunderstood your needs or they are simply an idiot.

Call them back, ask for Lance and tell him what your situation is. He will sort you out.

drove it some more tonight. got rid of the death wobble. toed it out a bit, and sort of "locked" the tie rod in place, added a washer on top of the pass side heim and already had a washer on top of the driver side. just for fun cranked on the ram bolts to make sure they are snug. the steering is very responsive on the freeway, to the point where tiny corrections make the steering a little more squirrley than before. Overall the steering was better without the ram to me. I might just pull it and put a stabilizer back on.

I'm going to bet you would need a 1.5" ram.

I have driven several rigs setup with PSC systems and 1.5" rams on 37-40" tires with no problems at all.

The ram should be invisible on the street.

I might swap the 8" 1.5 on and see how it does before I return it . If it's better I'll probably return both and have them brig the 1.5 ram down to 7.25" or so.

OK so josh came over and He thought the steering was 1 finger amazing so I think I was just used to the other setup, but I do see that when changing directions with the ram, the tie rod rolls before it starts to go the other way, so that is in effect a sort of instant dead spot, that was not there with the stabilizer, I am going to work on something to hold the heims more snug , maybe more washers and doing a better job at "locking" the heims almost like the JKS tie rod anti roll spacer.

Think I am going to pull the ram off. Kinda sketchy for on road driving. Still need to dial it in and also probably replace a couple more windows

Thanks Gordon today was pretty scary overall

What happened? Glad to hear your alright. If you need any renix stuff pm me I may have it

THIS "fubar all over. Man. I should have left it alone the way it was." IS WHAT I SAY EVERYTIME TO TOUCH MY RIG.
