Its that time of the year again, and I want to go snow wheeling.

Anyone interested in going? Where do you want to go?

I know its New Years Day, but its the only day I have available to go. Dont drink as much so you can come wheeling with me.

I really want to go do a snow wheeling day but my available days are limited. I'll will really try to make this, but I'll have to move my current appointment with a wicked hangover. I'll know more as the date approaches. I have no idea where to go so I'll leave that up to someone else.

ill be in truckee...damn...

i will be on the boat at Camp Far West for our annual speed boat show :)

Wentworth Springs, as in the Rubicon? Is Icehouse road plowed and not super sketchy during the winter?

Last year we did Mormon Emigrant Trail and I had a lot of fun considering how little snow we had. People interested in that trail? I want to try and do this so people with semi stock Jeeps can do this as well.

Sounds like you guys are getting old if you cant wheel after a night of drinking .!.:D .!.

Sorry im out, ive been on snow trips before with semi stock jeeps and it makes for a long miserable day. even though mine is pretty built now, ive been that guy who always gets stuck because my jeep was on smaller tires and lift than everyone elses, its not fun.

i would like to pitch in that last year i went on a snow run with Jeepforum. i was on 31's and 3.5 inches of lift. I was two out of 6 jeeps that didnt get stuck. All were bigger then me with lockers on 35. Dont hate on the little guys! it was also wentworth springs road.

That is a really sad attitude, and if you show up with that kind of mind set, I agree, it will make it a very long day for you.

If everyone shows up with the mind set of "We are going to get every rig over this trail no matter how long it takes" it will make for a much better adventure.

The last Goatfest I helped Josh (djblade311) lead the Claw Hammer run, one of the Jeeps was on almost street tires and no front locker. I had the negative thoughts start but then thought "How cool would it be to get this rig up this trail!"

We only stacked a few rocks in two spots and never pulled cable.

The difference between an ordeal and an adventure is Attitude!!

i agree with you, ive just had too many frustrating snow wheeling experiences mainly on my part and i get very frustrated with myself when everyone is waiting on me. not trying to insult anyone i just have little patience when it comes to snow.

We had a realy good time last winter, lots of rigs showed up and we were off the hill by the time the sun went down. We had all types from stock all the way to not street driven buggies.

we had a rig on bald 31s last year on a trip we went on... he did get stuck often but on this day it was alright lol... we were just cruisin anyway..but i will say there was alot of fluff.
