I'm thinking about driving up from San Diego.

Just saw on another forum that a wildfire started near Prather and it has Hwy 168 closed at the moment. To get to Shaver Lake and the trails you drive through Prather and use 168. With the run only a week away we had better keep an eye on this.

Checking up on the news report. The fire is burning a bit southeast of where 168 starts to climb the hill to Shaver.

Everyone. I have invested heavily in a new project and it is taking all my time and money currently. I am unsure if I can manage the time away. I'm gonna have to play this one by ear mates. Dusy is probably out of the question. Possibly the entire weekend too. I'll let you guys know as time gets closer what I can do.
