It should be a good trip that I'll be able to make.

A word regarding Dusy. Its not a super difficult trail, but it is tough on your junk. This is the trail that you need to make sure your jeep is ready for and dialed in. Make sure everything is tight daily and spares are an absolute must, because it is a looooonnnnngggg way from Napa in Shaver.

Just got Nick Monteleone to get his XJ going he will be coming for the week - he hasn't been on any runs in 5+ years
new front axle shafts - fluids changed - new battery - and paid up his DMV that sounds like commitment

I would love to have you up here Ocean Jet, haven't wheeled with you a long time! Are yo going back to MOAB for the next big event ?
Ive been syncing with the fresno4x4 club, they are going in to dusy to get it ready to open next weekend. they said it should be open by the Aug 1st.

Is Dusy open? What is the planned start time on Monday for the Dusy?

I'm thinking about driving up from San Diego.

The planned opening is August 1st. Looks like it's on schedule to open. There is a campground at Courtright Reservoir, we can meet there at 9:00 am and hit the trail by 10:00. I'll post the planned itinerary soon, been swamped at work.

For all you guys coming the ngiht before. There is a great campsite at the northern tip of the lake. Big site with room for plenty of jeeps. You can drive the beach to get there or stay on the trail, cross Chicken Rock, then drop down back into the lake.

The wheeling around the lake is great, with lots of rock gardens to play in. Watch out for quick sand though.
