Oh... thats a hike, im right inside the perimeter in Decatur.

When I posted that, I was at work and couldnt see your pictures... You got some nice toys!!

Thanks! Well that's not too bad. We gotta try catching up some time. I just let the bike go this past week so I'm short that now. All is well, that sell will help fund more tools. Working on a tube bender at the moment. Gotta get back focused on my Jeep bumper/rack projects.

Thanks to all who posted. I now have the ambition to do some cleaning in my own shop. Lots of nice looking garages!

took this pic last night so i figured i would post it

I just finished this weekends project, getting the shop cleaned and organized. I have had issues recently with not having a place to store inventory as I am trying very hard to start stocking items to quicken ship times.
The problem was the more I stocked the worst the shop got and I could then not find anything.

So I spent a few hours on garage journal and got some ideas for some new work / storage tables. After a quick trip to home depot I had my materials.

One is 24" x 96" and the other is 36" x 96" both have two full shelves with 12" of height.

New shipping area with computer for labels and boxes within arms reach, before the boxes where on the opposite side of the shop.

I am already seeing improvements in the work flow as stocked items such as SYE and other small items are stored under the shipping computer and I can grab the item put it in a box and have a label for it without walking all over the garage.

looks good. having everything organized makes work 10 times easier, faster, and come out better. a little tip for you though. take a sheet of plexiglass and screw it down (countersunk) to the top of the benches. even that particleboard will last MUCH longer. i did that to some benches at my moms place in 82 and they still look good. you can cut a bunch of pics from jeep magazines to lay under it too. easy to clean the grease and oil. a bit costly, but way worth it.

Thought I'd throw this into the mix...It'll raise the body only about 48". but that's the roof rails almost touching the open garage door. We're still monkeying around with final placement, as I positioned the towers as far apart as the maximum recommendation, but they're too far apart for a smaller vehicle. The anchor holes are already drilled, and they're ready to be pounded in. The nice thing about this deal is that it's portable, and the towers can be put against the wall if we're not going to use it for a while, or can be moved, if we ever get our shop going.

Not for welding on haha, I plan to get a sheet of 3/8" steel for the center tale. Eventually...

It normally is a little cleaner, but I have the XJ tore all to pieces right now so it has crap scattered everywhere. Once I get the drywall and insulation up on the inside of the garage I plan on putting in A/C, cabinets, paint, and epoxy coat the floor. Hopefully will start this winter or early spring. Long term I would like to put in a side door to the garage, a bigger air compressor and better lighting. It will get the job done for now.
