Show Of Hands

Adding more administration is in no way going to promote an increase in localized wheeling events. I moved from the NAC and helped form the MWC, both of which are huge chapters. If you are fortunate enough to have a local wheeling clique, then go ahead and plan events. It doesn't take a new chapter BOD to make it happen. Just fawkin' wheel!

Maybe as the MWC Treasurer I have a clearer perspective on the financial issue, but if the MWC were to break into smaller chapters, dividing the treasury would be a nightmare.

I think for the time being I'm going to put the Michiana chapter idea on the back burner. I thank everyone for there input and opions. I will not drop the idea , just back up and maybe rethink how we should do it.

I agree. Personally, when it comes down to it, I don't care if the event is official or not. That tagline seems to bring out more people, which is usually good. However, I personally just like to wheel and hang out with friends in the group at the same time. :dunno: I think that's what most of us are here for.

I am quite impressed with the amount of time some people put into planning events and the club in general, and think keeping that at a minimum should be important.

OK, I rescind my original opinion, in lieu of another suggestion.

Perhaps we could kill two birds with one stone.

The stated goal is to have more local communication so we can all go wheeling more.

We've also all expressed the opinion that the Midwestxj.org site should be used more.

Perhaps a slight restructuring of the forums @midwestxj.org would be the solution.
A few subforums for the local "cliques/sub chapters/local tards" seems as though it would work out well.
so, how about it? A few forums for location specifics and everyone is happy, we remain a big MWC family and the local cousins get better comunication in a more organized fashion.

discuss.

But then again, when your presidents seanR, you tend to listen.........so i let it go

No, usually you just drink until whatever he is incoherently rambling about makes enough sense and you give up.

something i could easily setup in a short time.....just need approval from the peoples in charge :)

i think it's a good idea.......nothing official to deal with......just add some unofficial sub-chapter forums :)

i think it's unnecessary to go over there to find a forum for 8 or 10 people to bs with eachother. each thread here about a wheeling trip, dinner party, hooter watching outing serves that purpose. we also have PMs that can be sent and the chat feature.

i also would guess that midwestxj.org won't see enough action and people will just come back here to do what we already do now. there was a push for midwestxj.org a couple weeks ago and as far as i can tell, the traffic and posting there has not changed much.

That's cause all the action is in the Super Secret Ninja forum. The plain ol' secret forum is entry level.
