I don't want to be selfish or to break your tradition with the "usual place", but if there's any way I can avoid driving in the opposite direction back into the Springs to meet up I'd appreciate it, even if it means I just hang out on the side of the road somewhere until the caravan passes by.

For those of you in the Colorado Springs area.
We will be meeting at the KFC on the corner of W. Colorado and 31st at 7:30 AM and departing no later than 8:00AM.

Here's the address for those of you that are not familiar with the area.

This location will be easy for the Stanton Family to get to since Anna lives very close to there.

For those of you in the Wooldland park area.
We should pass through town at approximately 8:20-8:30. I would suggest staging at the Safeway on Hwy 24. We'll be on Channel 16 and let you know as we approach that location.

For those of you in the Denver area.
You are welcome to join us in Colorado Springs or you may wish to take HWY 285 south to meet us at the tail head. Hopefully Yellaheep (Troy) will post today and establish a meeting location and time.

Val posted up on CO4x4 about my trail head parking question - will there be plenty of space and she says there will be.

So, since there should be plenty of parking available, I think FrankZ has a pretty good plan - albeit kinda early....

So, Frank, if you'll take care of the 'Springs group, I'll plan on being at the Safeway by 8:30. Lets meet up there and leave for the trail by 9am.

I won't be coming from the 285 side, so if there's a group from that area, get together and we'll see ya at the trailhead.

Anna called a bit ago, I need to call her back so I'll ask her if they'd rather meet you guys at the KFC or come up to the Safeway and let you all know.

I'll be driving a blue Dodge dually with the yellow Heep on a trailer.

Where is the Safeway Troy? I'm in Franktown and am thinking it would be closer than the Springs. My wife has a son in the Army and it's looking like Irac is in his future. We never met Seth but think it's great what ya'll are doing. We would like to attend and help clean up the trail in his honor.

He's talking about the Safeway on the way into Woodland Park. It's on the way to the trailhead.

Yeah, we had a hard time coming up with a good meeting location. Riverfever suggested the parking lot of one of the schools where he works, but I hadn't heard from him as to if school security would have a problem with leaving vehicles in the lot on a Saturday..... so the only other place that I knew of was the Safeway.

It's on the south side of Hwy 24 and I believe you turn left at the second traffic light as you're headed west into Woodland Park. Pretty easy to find. I'll be parked at the far end of the lot somewhere so that we all can gather briefly and head out as a group to the trail head. I may drop the truck/trailer at a different location and just be there in the Heep - not sure yet.

Joe is planning on taking one of the trucks thru the trail for collection of trash.
