At this point I am currently getting in contact with the USFS, the BOD and the current president and vice president of the NW chapter. My goals are to begin monthly trail clean ups, trash pick up and whatever else the USFS needs within LaDee Flats OHV limits.
By performing this volunteer work through
which is a Non-profit organization the USFS will recognize all documented volunteer hours this group will provide. Each volunteer hour is worth $33.49 in the forest service’s eyes.
At this point I’d love to start getting enough volunteer hours and some people so that the USFS can begin allotting money towards LaDee flats and hopefully hire an OHV ranger like it had before but more importantly keep the OHV area open moving forward.
Just wondering and getting a good idea of how many people here would like to or be interested in clean-ups and trail maintenance at LaDee Flats OHV in Estacada, OR?
