seat issue

My driver's side seat in my 99 XJ sport had broken loose from the adjusting bracket. The dealer in my local area want about $300.00 to get a new one....any ideas? I will try the local yard but am not expecting to find much.

The Xj front seats are kind of flimsy underneath. When mine broke, I took it out and had a friend reweld it. No problem since. Total repair cost was cold beer.

I'm working on the same issue on my '99... I'm trying to find a used seat that I am then going to have reinforced before I put it in..

I'm afraid mine is too far gone and bent up to weld...

Damn !!! and I thought my seat was bad when the seat frame ripped out from where it was bolted to the adjustment track. Luckly I live close to J&W Jeep Salvage. I was able to find a used one from a '01 that matched my '99 for $250 plus tax.
