SE Utah and Colorado? 2010

Cool, i think you'll be ok. It's so soon after Labor Day that i dont think many will want that date.

Your the official Photog for this run.. ;)

Randy, interested in showing me around in Colorado? Looked over your CO Adventure 09 thread at Jeepin. I like the idea of Taylor, Hagerman, Mosquito, Independance and Pearl areas. Thats the scenery i'm looking for. I'v done Imogene, Last Dollar, Alta, Ouray area.

Assuming I can make the dates work, I'd be happy to. I'd love to get on Pearl Pass again this year

Pearl is one of my favorite passes. It looks like the surface of the moon.

It is one bumpy long pass.

wow it would be great to make it down there with you guys. i dont know if its feasible with the fact im going down in may.

I too will be heading down in that area sometime around then so I may try to meet up with ya'll sometime... My wife and I are heading down for 5 weeks next summer/fall so if it turns out our timeline overlaps yours I'll for sure contact you guys.

Ryan, sorry your schedule wont allow us to meet on WRT. Was looking forward to sharing it with you.

I'v found a NAXJA user who will be running the whole trip with me. He will hopefully soon be Red and join us in the Adventure Forum. He's got a real nice setup.

As i mentioned earlier i found a nice site in Gunnison NF that i always wanted to revisit, it just happens to be near the end of Cottonwood Pass above Taylor Park Reservoir and should be a good camp. Since it's just a clearing in the trees with a great view of the Collegiate Mountain range close to another "established" NF camping site i needed to check the legality of this site. Turns out it's legit for "dispersed" camping. The site will work out well for seeing some of the area.

Anyone have experience in fly fishing Taylor Res? I hear there are some large Rainbows that are educated and tough to catch. Maybe i can talk RiverFever into a visit..

I'm looking at the possibility of making a days drive from Monument Valley, up through Telluride and into Gunnison on some scenic roads thats doable in 8ish hours.

Really looking forward to this trip.

Swampy, if you havent already take a look through the subforum above. Quite a few guys share their trip reports, routes and pics. I have a bud who's gonna attempt to teach me some things so hopefully i can do a report on our trip.
