Rubicon - November 9-11th

Yeah it snowed last weekend, but the snow is gone by now. The forecast shows showers tonight but the weather for the next ten days seems pretty fair.

i might still be in.

Don't know if this helps or not guys but there was 8 - 12" on Corral Hollow last weekend. Of course that is a bit higher than the Con.

Trail conditions are looking great. The storm that just passed through the Rubicon was too warm to produce snow... it was a wet storm. And the forecast shows sunny days in all of the ten day forecast. Looking promising!

I dont think im going to make it. unless I can get some t case set screws to replace my messed up ones.. and maybe some help to finish that and some other small shit

According to snotel, at 7700' there is 4" of snow left up there. There was 15" a week ago. Barring any new snow, it will be dry up there by the 9th. I'd love to go, but still haven't fixed my steering and front axle shafts from the beating on the Dusy.

Looks like im gonna head to Fordyce with a buddy instead. Gonna play around at a few different places but nothing too serious. The granite bowl on the Con just didnt sound fun all covered in snow lol

what happened?

lol Connor, Parker told me about that. Sounds... not fun..

No, the story I heard was when they tried making it up walker hill i believe. Just lots of slipping and winching and sucking. no bueno

just walker was that bad?
wow. thats crappy. was it covered in snow or just wet ?

im not entirely sure.... cant remember the story that well lol. ill let connor chime in

the scary part i was referring to was when they went out.. Parker slid down the slabs and then wes slid into him because there was literally no traction... Then when they tried getting out it was pin it to win it or you lose momentum and slide down. Basically a situation I would never want to be in..

Posted a few pics on my blog. Had a killer time out there!
