My girlfriend is coming up from school so we can run the Rubicon together one more time before the snow hits. She loves it up there!

She is coming up late on Friday the 9th, and we hope to make it atleast to Spider that night. On Saturday we want to make it to Buck for sure, and possibly the Springs. Then on Sunday were planning on heading back out Loon, but if someone can talk us into it we might head out through Tahoe. I dont know the trail very well (if at all) past Buck... whats it like past there/the springs?

Of course, this is pending weather... I'm hoping we wont have snow by then, seeing how last year we didnt have enough snow for a snow run in early January.

Would anybody like to join? The more the merrier! Should be a good time!

i'll say maybe with the red p.o.s. if you are going in & out of loon, that way i can park my truck & trailer.

im a maybe. work has been nuts. and finishing my darn thesis finally is taking all my free time it seems...

Sweet. Whats the trail like past the springs? Ive heard that it gets more gnarly as you keep going. Is that true? Or is it easy-going from there on?

As of now, we are planning on coming back out loon unless someone thinks we should do otherwise.

Cadillac Hill is just past the springs and it is pretty gnarly and fun. Once you get to the top of Cadillac it is easy going but is 6+ miles of bone-jarring roads until you hit pavement.

Ill probably just end up wheeling back out Loon since I know the area.

Connor, I say we go to Buck Saturday morning. The reason I want to camp at Spider is that Talia wont be getting to Sac until 9 PM or so, so we will be getting on the trail pretty late. We can play it by ear if we wheel in together though. If im going in solo, I want the meeting spot to be Spider in case its to late to head down to buck.

Jeep450r are you running with anyone? My friend just asked me to head up that weekend to do Rubicon (I live in Southern California). I'm hoping to link up with somone just in case something goes wrong.

So far, It looks like I should have some people going in with me. Not sure how many yet, but I shouldn't be going solo. My biggest concern is the weather. Hopefully it holds up!

Feel free to meet up with us if you come up to run the Con that weekend!

if weather is good there is a good chance ill be here, unless work gets nuts again.

Im in for this. just keep reminding me.

Awesome guys, itd be great to wheel with you both again!

As of now, the plans are still the same. Go in Loon LATE Friday night and back out Loon Sunday afternoon/evening. Most school-goers will have Monday off to fix broken stuff. Maybe you guys will have work off Monday too.

Is anybody still in? The weather looks like it might actually hold up, and all snow on the trail should already be melted by now. It will be chilly, but I will still plan on going as long as I can still see the ground!

im still a maybe. i want to go
