I'm still looking for somebody to go up with me Thursday morning.
Billy

Why do you want to go up so early? I think everyone is making it to the Loon Lake campground thurs afternoon/evening. I'm leaving CH at 6:30 & hopefully getting to the campground around 7:30-8. We could hook and drive out there together if you'd like. I'm not sure if Ken (Stoney) is going but he lives in CH also and could join us.

I know this thread is getting really long but it is for the rubicon, come on. Are you going to come Jason? I think we all know the meet plans etc and we'll take it from there. We are going to have fun. I had fun when I blew my motor in my 91' yj at the Badlands in Indiana. Some jeepers got me pulled out of the mud and towed back to the parking lot, my brother-in-law then wheeled in their jeeps the rest of the day, stayed at the "haunted" hotel they were staying at and went wheeling with them in their jeeps the next day before we drove our rent a car back home (4 hrs each way). By the way the 88' xj I rode in with 31's & 3" of lift showed most every yj/cj etc up and made an impression on me that today resulted in my purchase of my 91' and previous 89' & 95' xj's.

Where at? I live Reggae. At least Bob Marley & Sublime (reggae/punk/etc hybred). Have you heard a band called "Shake Down"? They are a sublime/reggae band out of Sacramento and are pretty good. I went to a show about 3 months ago to see Long Beach Short Bus, which has only 1 original member of Sublime, the bassist Eric Wilson. They were o.k., but Shake Down sort of stole the show and they were the 2nd opening band.

Wow that's quite a few bands. None of who I have heard of, but I really don't follow the Raggae scene to closely. Sublime/Long Beach Dub Allstars/Long Beach Short Bus/Shake Down/311/No Doubt (I know they sold out). Have a good time, but not too good, there will be lots of green smoke probably. :smoker: This kind of goes with the whole Raggae music scene I guess.

Hey Billy, i'd be up for going thursday morning. What time were you thinking?

I'm game for anytime, I got the whole day off. I don't see any reason to waste a day off, so I was thinking around 9 or so :dunno:
Billy

By the way... are you "Justin" Justin? The one I've met at several meetings? I thought you had a different screen name.

Yeah we've met at a few meetings, I have a black 93 country 4door.
That sounds good for the 17th, I'm open to leave any time that morning.

There shouldn't be any fire restrictions in June, but you'll need to stop and get a campfire permit. There is a Ranger station on Icehouse Road, fairly near Icehouse reservoir, on your right. Only one person in the group needs to have the permit, they cost nothing, and are good at any national forest.

Here is the link to El Dorado National Forest:

You an find all the stations there, as well as campfire restriction info.
