Hey grimus just wondering if u guys do many shipments u guys do to canada..i live in manitoba i am wonder if u can ball park a 4.5 lift shipping quote for me.
thanks alot.

they do ship to canada and if you can afford it deff ask him about their 4.5 x series lift kit comes with adj. trac bar, adj. upper and lower control arms, and full leaf packs plus more

Grimus just wondering why the shocks RC sent me with the 6.5 are the same length as my shocks that came with my RE 3.5". The front is limited to about 1-1/2" and the rear is limited to less than an inch of droop.

I HAVE A RC 3IN" THE PRICE WAS RIGHT AND I'M NEW AT THIS STUFF. I THINK IT GIVES YOU WHAT YOU WANT BEFORE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU NEED. MY SHOCKS ARE SHOT ALREADY TOO... NEVER HAD ANY BUMP STEER PROBLEMS..

I installed RC's 6.5" X-Series suspension nearly 2 yrs ago and love it! The only issues I've had or have with the kit is that it didn't come with shims (which were badly needed due to pig to driveshaft mis-alignment) and the front shock bushings crapped out on me (I was in a pinch and rigged it with some rubber I had laying around my garage so I didn't have to hear my shocks flopping in and out of the wheel well). Perhaps polyurethane would be the ticket here?

Initially, the ride was fairly stiff..but liveable. I wasn't terrible impressed with the flexibilty of the lift at first (particularily the rear springs) so I ran w the discos pulled for a month or so forcing the rear springs to work harder at stabilizing. It worked..softening them up and making them flex much better.

I didn't do any floor to bumper measurements after the lift but did notice the ass-end sat slightly higher than the front for about a month. The rear has settled (leveled) and has not sagged any further..(noticeably) at all..in nearly two years. Ther front now flexes good enough that it ran the sway bar bolt through my drivers-side wheel well while messing around offroad last year.

Last thing, I noticed that ride quality reamains decent as long as I keep things lubed, tight, and aligned. My 2 cents. :greensmok

I did the same with my 3". Poked right through! I laughed my as@ off when I noticed the whole and finally figured out what caused it. :laugh3:

hey grimus
I have a question,
how does your jeep ride and handle on the road with the 6.5" kit?
I am looking to build a similar jeep to yours and was wondering if you have a mod list that u could post up or pm me.

Also is there anything that u would change on your jeep if u built it again?
thanks

I bought a 3" RC lift during the free shipping thing on "cyber Monday." I plan to install it this week since I have some time off work. But I was *very* impressed with how complete the kit is, it came with *everything* I will need. Except maybe an adjustable trackbar, but then I didn't order one. :)

I bought the XJ from him and the ride is very rough in the front and stiff in the rear. You feel every bump like it was a crater. If you are on a smooth highway it rides great and tracks great. But how often are you on a smooth highway.I am going to make some changes to get a better ride.JKS parts to start.

Southeast, you may be running more air pressure in the tires than needed...if you soften em up a bit it will make a huge difference in the ride...

what pressure you recommend for DD?

I'll jump in on this one. I run the RC 4.5" lift and run about 25 psi on the street. Helped the ride ALOT.... At 35 psi it rode like a horse and wagon. 10 psi made a HUGE difference. I haven't noticed a big change in tire wear or mpg either.
