Rough Country

Based on the original topic, my experience is as follows:

1. MY original kit shipped less a couple of hardware pieces, but they got resent out.

2. The shocks that came with the kit rode like the body was welded to the axles.

3. The poly bushings in the control arms flexed for one wheeling trip before all were torn.

Bottom line. I will never purchase another RC lift or lift componenents again. I organize for a 200 member 4WD outfit and alot of the members that saw my kit feel the same way. It's unfortunate, but again, you pay for junk, you get junk.

Dig this Chris,

1. All my kits are packed by humans and maybe not you but all the humans I that know can make a mistake every now and again. But I can assure you that we shipped you the missing product as soon as we could without a twenty minute discussion about it.

2. You will never hear me say that our entry level shocks are the best but come on you are being a little unrealistic here. We have always had upgradable shocks and now we have a premier line (not available fo xjs just yet but should be in the nest month or so) that is pretty damn nice. If you know alot about this industry then you would know that we packed shocks for many years for some of our competitors and that beside specialty shocks there are really only two companys that make shocks anymore.

3. Then you talk about our poly bushings going bad after only one wheeling trip, I guess what you are saying is that, unlike all the other satisfied customers on here, you are the only one that wheels as hard as you do.

bottom line. There are many happy customers on here that will continue to purchase R/C products from us and will continue to tell there friends and there 200 plus 4wd clubs about us. you talk junk you must be junk

and please do not come on here and talk about cheap while your name is still black support the forum that allows us to voice our oppinions

Amen... I enjoy my lift, the shocks are ruff... O my god it is a 4x4 truck with a lift kit..
One day i will up-grade my shocks... But i'm trying to save my money so i can support :NAXJA: ..

as far as im concerned if you dont like the lift then take it off, stop bitching, and keep YOUR POS on the road. I wheel with my lift and its never let me down. Just because you dont know what YOUR doing installing a lift or going wheeling doesnt mean its a bad lift. If your lift sucks you should have let a profesional do it. in that case let someone else wheel your jeep too. because you obviously dont know what your doing. Oh and one more thing if you dont like the ride quality. BUY A CAR!!!!

Since you are evidently in the mode to call me out, here is my callout to you.

Don't ask for opinions if you are going to bitch and moan about the very thing you ask for. ;) Pretty simple if you ask me.

Me, owned? Please.

Actually, I am in the process of becoming a sponsor, I just haven't pushed it through yet. Look, no need to get pissy. I stated my opinion and if you knew me, you would know I will state mine at any given time. I am sure all of your stuff is not cheaply made.

While I have never desired to own a RC product I have no problems recommending them to friends who are at the entry level stage of all this based soley on the great customer service and support that Grimus offers.....

Hey Jason, any details you can share on the upcoming premiere shocks? I'm running the RC 9000 shocks and they aren't bad (certainly not "axle welded to body" lol), but I wouldn't mind a bit softer ride on the road.

Jason, according to tracking my new shocks should be waiting for me when I get home. Thanks alot for the quick replacements, fast shipping, and great customer service.

Hey now! I am not fighting. Trust me, when I iFight, I get UGLY and people get butthurt. :spin1: No need for that here. :)

There is no problem here. it wasnt aimed at any one person. i wasnt talking directly to that guy. i could care less that was my opinion on the lift situation. I bitched about my trac-bar. then i realized i should stop bitching and fix it so i did. it wasnt a shot at any one person. sorry if it seemed that way.

HAHA, I got a chuckle out if that.

This has kind of turned into a bit of a pissing match. Everyone has their opinions on products, and they are entitled to that. I have found, as have many, every company has certain items that they excell in. I have a mix of parts on my rigs and could not be happier with them.. When it comes to customer service, Jason has the market cornered in my opinion. For EXAMPLE: I called RE yesterday about one of my front monotubes that was leaking. Well, rather then say, "hey, well ship ya another one, or what happened", I delt with "Eric" and all he did was basically tell me that I had blown the shock by bottoming it out and he would sell me another one and then have me send my old one in for them to look at. I have been around the wheelin and sales world long enough to know how this racket works...send me your item, opps, it is at your fault, no replacement. And rack one more sale of a $100 shock up for that salesman. Because of the lack of "good" customer service, I will not be doing busines with RE directly any longer. It is funny how I got blew off over a $100 shock, but have ran their lifts or components on every Jeep I have owned (7 to be exact). I have spent thousands on products with that company and they dont give a crap. Now this was not to bash on RE stuff, b/c they have good quality parts, but I am voicing my opinion about how customer service plays a large part in my decission making. Does R/C have the best parts??? that is for the buyer to decide and for how they want to use their vehicle. Do they have the best parts for the $$$...I say yes. R/C has a lower price than most, and that is important for many guys young and old that are getting into the sport. I am fortunate enough that money is not the deciding factor for all of my purchases, but for many of the users on here it is the deciding factor. WOW, I am not sure how I typed that much and still stay somewhat focused! :D

Funny stuff... the same exact same thing happened to me w/ a rear RE monotube... Except I dealt w/ RE though DC4WD.... I said screw it and just paid $65.00 for a new shock shipped as opposed to paying shipping to RE and playing their waiting game..

I have a lot of parts on my jeep from various vendors... I can tell you that by far Terry at Rigid Co, Rock Krawler in general and, Tim of Thor have been the best to deal with...

Good customer service in our industry is disappearing way to fast...

I am not bitchin cause of your opinion I'm getting ill for the fact that on every thread that has to do with R/C you decide you need to get in there and post up how wonderfull RE is and how bad we are. I will give you my opinion now on what you are doing, In you previous post you mentioned signing up to be a vendor and I would like to take a wild guess that you are going to be another RE vendor on :NAXJA: wich also makes me assume you are trying to bash my company a build up RE to help you sell better. This my friend is a problem, I have no bad blood or anything with RE and would not bash any other company for any reason (at least not in public haha) Every company has there good and there bad but what makes a company is there ability to address there bad and there customer service.
