Rough Country

I love mine the only thing i have noticed so far is the trac bar bracket that you get is hell to get right. i had to beat mine into place and even then i had to heat up the stock location so it would go in. and it was popping back and forth when i tured so i tightened it up. nothing happend so i put a tack weld on every side and it stopped for a few weeks and now its makeing the nois again. oh and my axle hasnt been aligned under my body since i got it. but other than that i love it. it rides rough but if you dont have alot of money like me then get it. mine is the 4.5 inch. Oh and i have never road in a lifted vehicle that drove like a cadilac. i lick the rough ride. keeps me awake haha.

We have eliminated the trac bar brkts in our kits and no give detailed info on drilling it over and relocating it.

do the LCA drop brackets come with braces? I was thinking of getting the RE drop brackets and braces, but you have a much better price!!

yes the kit comes with the braces. They are the pieces in the pic with the RCX cut out in them. They are not as long as RE so you dont have to worry about transfer case drops and most rockrails.

i bought the roughcountry 6.5 extreme duty lift less than a year ago and have greatly regretted doing so, in less the a month the rear leafs were trashed and severly saged to one side!!, the adjustable control arms make some funny noises all the time and they have aquired some play. i can honestly say that i have trashed every bushing in that kit and then some. i hated it soo much that i eneded up buying a whole new kit from rubicon express.

it is not worth the money, if you are going to buy a lift kit spend the extra money or save up, youll be so much happier in the end. and it will last alot longer.

My arm's make alot of noise's also and I grease them weekly!!

i bought a 3.5 inch rough country lift 6 years ago and has just been recently spaced up to a 5.5.

my only gripe wasnt really a gripe at all. i had to buy a block for the rear but doing an add a leaf depends on your current springs for lift. so i cant say it was their fault.

and untill my cousin's OME lift i had the softest best riding / handling jeep out of any of my members. even the wrangler guys.

the lift and everything with it is still in great shape and my brother just bought one like it.

when i get a new 6.5 the current lift will be going on the wifes jeep and i dont doubt it will last forever.

I hate to hear that you were unhappy with the lift and I wish you would of contacted us. However this is the reason there are more then one lift kit company, each one of the companies cant please them all. I know that if you searched you will find the same complaints about RE, Superlift, Skyjacker etc.... We as a company as well as all other companies due not sell defective or poor quality on purpose but there are those occasions were defective parts get shipped and it is up to the customer to inform us of such and then also our job as a company to stand behind our product and correct the issue. I again apologize that you were not satisfied with the lift but there are many others that are so to each there own.

grimus99xj i got my money in today, just about to order the lift, will you be the one answering the phone? or will i have to ask for you?

I assume the drop brackets with work with other brands of control arms, such as Rubicon Express or JKS? I have really liked my 3" lift, but I may go with more expensive arms if RCs are prone to squeaking - my last 2 cars had squeaky bushings and it was a pain to try and keep them quiet!

That said I like the look of your drop brackets and the fact that you aren't trying to stiff folks by making them buy the required braces separately, and will probably be ordering a set after I install my 2" spacers and shackles.

To the best of my knowledge they all should fit

thanks again grimus99xj, going to be puttin in some vacation days to put in the lift and break it in. will be posting before, during, and after pics to compare the 3in to the 4.5,

So let me get this right. The 6.5" is regular priced at $995 before the NAXJA 10% plus how ever much for the full packs and then add for the drop brackets? What does that come out to, about $1500?

i hope these brackets hold up like RE. there like half the price, anyone that uses them keep us updated with the strength of these
