Rockin' XJ Jamboree, Johnson Valley Nov 18-19

Assuming troy gets my d30 housing welded back together in time, and i get the locker i lent out returned in time, and i get the gears installed in time, and manage to get my junk to pass smog, and find time to bolt all that crap together .. I'll be there and running the trails in my own jeep, for once.

Otherwise I'll still roll out there in my pickup, and can stack rocks and point for people again. :)

Troy says he will have your 30 done by this weekend!
My garage is available if you need a lift.
You do have almost two months to finish your junk... :D
I'll be the first to toast you if you make it out.....and come to think of it...
I have five MTR's of the 33" variety that would look good on your rig!

There is nothing straight about him :D

Not worried about it. It will be done right with proper heating and cooling so I have no concerns about Troy's work.

There's more to it than heating and cooling. You'll find out soon enough. :D

I won't need a lift, but if you wanna roll up to the OC one weekend and do the swap with me, I'll buy the first round or two at the local pub .. which is about the distance from my driveway as your house is from your garage. ;)

Indeed. We moved into that house the month after I turned 21 .. a good portion of the barstaff knows the drunken walk to my house as well as I do. Even though I don't live at home anymore, frequently my dad wakes up to voices at 3am to find 5 or 6 of us sittint out front or in the living room sobering up ;)

Count me and juryrigjalopy in.

thats if I cant find anything better to do.

Is there a place, like my tent for example, I could leave my doors during the day while we're out on the trails? It would be nice to have them on for the 3 hour drive up there and take them off for the trails. Es possible?? Good idea??

Another random question: Anyone have a trailer I can borrow/rent for that weekend? U-haul is mucho expensivo. I don't have to have a trailer, as mine is driveable up there, but if JV is like every other trip I've ever been on, I'm pretty sure I'll break something. Like my trackbar. Twice.

I'm in San Diego, so anything nearby would be super.

Thanks!
Chris

I think your doors will be safe in your tent. I don't think the base camp is ever totally deserted. There'll be people around.
