Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!
October 30th, 8AM at the McDonald's in Monroe. From there we will caravan to the trailheads (gravel pit) at Reiter and arrive at approximately 8:30AM for airdown, etc. Gotta get on the trails by 9AM or we'll be having a late lunch. CB Channel 4. If you have FRS radios, bring them. They work a hell of a lot better than CB.
In all fairness to the participants, I think we've got the split this up into a couple of groups. The more difficult trails are going to require about 6" lift and 33" tires with at least one locker. Everything else is doable in a stock to mildly built rig. I for one am not one to judge, but if you feel you can handle a challenge...make sure you're not going to be getting a tug the whole way up (or lagging everyone behind with kids/animals). As an instructor of mine says, 'The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one.' We can split up at Reiter once we get there.
Anyone want to lead us up Isabel and Sack-Up?
Anybody up for leading folks on the other trails in the area?
Basics are going to include things like recovery points and gear (straps especially!), appropriate spare parts, fullsize spare tire, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, etc. Basic kit stuff.
Can't wait to get out there! :wave1:
