RedBird SRA Dugger, IN Nov.12th

Travis! What time should I plan to arrive at your place Friday night?

Still in.

My brother will be my co-pilot.

If you guys don't mind a Land Rover taggin along I'd like to join up with you on the trails Sat. the 12th. The truck is a 89 Disco lifted appx 3" with OME HD spring, SG sliders, Kumho 31" MT's, and rear hitch mount 12K winch if needed. I've wheeled with some NAXJA members up at the Badlans but never been to Redbird.

I should be headed home at about noon, getting me there some time around 5:00. So, any time after 5:00 works fine for me.

I'm going to Fastenall to get some parts to make a tool to put my bump-stops in. I'm going to build a coil spring spreader, as no one seems to sell one. I would rather not have to take apart suspension components the night before a trail run, and risk having a bolt break or something else go wrong.

Talked to the CJ guys we ran into last time we were there. They are planning on showing up, probably around 5 of them. One of them has built a buggy, and another just bought a stocker XJ. Looks like we'll probably split up into at least 2 groups.

I have coil compressors I could bring, that way all we got's ta do is flex that bitch up with the shocks disconnected. An easy evening chore. I can be there around 5.

Yeah, sticks and autos.

I was thinking more like everyone west of the Mississippi in one group, and everyone else in the other.:gag:

no steering box in

i guess ill just have to push it!

Hey Indy, I'll take the bracket. I need one to modify for my new track bar.
I think I'm finally ready!

I wonder what I'll forget? :dunce:

You'll have to take the track bar too since it's still attached to it. All my tools are now packed in my Craftsman case tight away in the XJ. I just hope I remember to throw it in there! Pre-apology if I forget...eheh

Wow!
Outstanding turn out!
Better than I ever expected.

Thanks to all who came. We will deffinatley do it again. Fun times.

Things learned by the group:
Tie Rods bend.
Fenders crinkle.
Glass breaks.
Bushwackers suck.
Euro- Trav. is no more.
Never go wheeling solo in a Land Rover. (Good lord, what a story....)
Oldsmobiles can wheel too.

Pics to follow eventually.
