You could say that again!
Great buy and nice work!!

Tim,
Something doesn't look right with that track bar mount location on the axle end. It looks like it is just bolted to the outside of somewhere in single-shear. There is no way that will hold up and I would be afraid to drive it in that configuration.

The rear shock mounts are not going to work as is. Really just a small fab job to get some factory style mouts back on there. You can even hack them off your old axle and reweld them on the new up higher. It will also help them work better with the lower bolts running front to back and not side to side. If that makes sense. They will pivot on the bushing instead of flex into the bolt.
Here is better look at it Eric. What it is is the bracket on the axel that is open is smaller/narrower than the one that the track bar is attached to. Meaning that the track bar will not fit in the open one on the axel. It appears to be the right size for the stabilizer shock.
More ideas, thoughts, suggestions?

The track bar should fit inside the bracket (A). If it won't fit, the previous owner was probably using a track bar with a heim joint that is narrower than your stock-style bushing. Might want to ask him... (B) is the stabilizer mount judging by how it lines up with the tabs on the steering linkage.
Best guess from what I can see is you probably need to run a different track bar, similar to what the previous owner had, or get a new track bar bracket and weld it onto the axle.
Ahh, the fun of an axle swap, or both in your case. It's looking good Tim. If you need some "new" shock mounts for the rear, let me know. I took the stock mounts off my d44 awhile back and for some unknown reason kept them around. So now I have some stock mounts you can use if you want them. They will need a but of grinding just to clean up the mounting area, but are still useable. Let me know.
Rob that would be great! What do you want for them and can you ship them? I would like to modify them and raise them up on the axel a little more anyway so I will be grinding anyway. Thank you so much for the offer!
Just cover the cost of the shipping is all I need for these. I've already got a box for them so no cost for shipping materials either. Pm me an address and I'll get the price for ya and get them moving in your direction.
Wait Rob.... the d44 does not have the same mounting orientation as the Chry 8.25 does it???
Chry 8.25, This is what I am trying to do
