Red camo is not bad either :D

Best of all your vehicle will be highly camouflaged when driving around the land fill!

I brought a few things down to SC with me to keep me occupied while i tend to a sick parent.

Bought some OD canvas for $15 and had a few of my tarp poles, idea was to make a quick setup rear awning. This is what i ended up with, i still want to try and make a trussed roof section from a few old tent poles and shockcord fitted in an X pattern under the top but it's gonna work well.

Some adjusting with the stake locations and guide ropes has it taught and with a nice pitch.

So,...

if your wife sees this, she will,... what exactly? "Force" you to build YOUR jeep? :scared: ....,and why haven't you "accidentally" shown her this thread yet?

If I was in your situation, one of those side shots with the tent up would be my screen saver. :laugh3:

Seems like she's a keeper.

If someone wants to copy this it's simply two GI pup-tent halves...

It started to rain as i set this up the other day so i didnt show how it can be setup with two more poles on the side, and some material at far end that can be guy roped to block sun/wind etc. I'll update the pics eventually.

13 years ago, when I bought my Jeep, I told my wife " when this thing gets all beat up, I'm gonna paint this thing OD green"

I'm getting closer every day....I guess I'll have to choose a different shade:D:D:D

Not necessarily John, i have a few more gallons and cases of aerosol.

If you do want a different shade you can pick it up in person off RT-13 in Bristol. MUCH cheaper than having it shipped with FED-EX haz-mat charges etc.

I have an HVLP gun and reducer as well. We would just need to source a building to spray it in.

Paint available from my bud here. www.armyjeepparts.com

I think we'll have to discuss this over a few homebrews....

My treat (hoping that you like IPA's)

love the tall/skinny tires! ;)

How much lift are you at about front/rear?

I think i need to boost my rear with some of those shackle relocation things and to correct the shackle angle too...

A few days prior to coming home from SC i ran out to GA to pick this up and bring it home with me. A bud come down from NY to pick up his new trailer. It's a Conqueror Basecamp that was imported from South Africa, they werent selling well and the economic times had the dealer liquidate them cheap. Should have bought one instead of all the time and money i'll put into my project.

After being home a few days i saw the weather report was calling for some nice weather in the Pa Grand Canyon, so a bud, his GF and i went out for a few days. My recent mods are working pretty well.

Your jeep is awesome. where did you get the gas can at?

Thank You. Thats a Scepter MWC .. water can.

I'm still looking for a few MFC's. Fuel cans.. I plan to build a rear swingaway like Handlebars is running now, with three 5 gallon containers. Took the C4x4 rear swingaway and tire carrier off and sold it.
