Thats it for now, the back of the cab was cut off to allow access to the main hoop, and the ends of the cab were capped as well.

 I like it a lot better! Very Niceeeee

That looks really, really awesome. Hope you get many more years out of the rig.

looks great Andy, although i do find it silly that many of us now have fancy tube work but none of us have put it to use

I can fix that for Andy

I like it. But isnt all that tube in the back going to make it hard to get to anything you put back there.

Nope, I don't really need to get to anything back there regularly. Spare will mount the same way, and I have always gotten to my tool box from the front seat anyway.

Glad someone's carrying on the tradition of having two roll cages in one truck. :D

LOL... I may still cut the interior cage out, we'll see how many MORE times I hit my head on the grab handles in the middle...

I can fix that for Andy

LOL... Yeah, I know. Remember, you also have an untested cage now too.

Got the Jeep about 90% back together. Got paint on the cage (at least MOST of it... what a PIA to paint!!)

The kids had a lot of infuence with the color... my son simply said that it had to match...

Yes, thats my son with his TMNT hat on... He doesn't go anywhere without it.

For some reason he felt that he needed to take his hat off for this pic.

I still have a short list of little things to do, but for the most part it is ready to roll. I am thinking about shortening up my Prothanes some more. I only have about an inch before my bumpstop hits them, and I think I want around 2". I really haven't wheeled it with them in yet though, so I was planning on trying it first before cutting them any more. Opinions?

I would wheel it first before you trim them. mine only had 1/2" before they hit the bump tower and honestly I think it rod great. they compress down pretty far. so I dont think they will limit your up travel too much. their 10" to start and I think ive seen mine go down to 4". and thats just from flexing. not hitting hard bumps or falling off a ledge.

just do what your son says...

Thats what I was thinking too. They are meant as a bump stop though (or maybe a "bump-slow-down"), not a shock. We'll see. I'll just bring my hacksaw with me if I want to cut them down. I need to take them back out anyway. I want to attach the bump pad so I don't loose it.

Your son is awesome.

He is my shadow... I couldn't re-arrange the Camaro and XJ in the garage today without him as a passenger. And of course, we had to race up and down the road (and smoke the tires in the Camaro too) while I was re-arranging them too.

My son- "Daddy... can we just take a quick ride?"

Me- "ummmm.... OK!!"

Son- "Can we go fast???"

Me- "OK!!"

awesome

jeep's looking great sir

TMNT hat ftw. x2 on just listening to what he says! lol

for reals though, do you have a hard stop on your prothanes? like some uhmw rod in them? bc i compress mine all the way until my shocks bottom out. i also have about a 3/4"-1" airgap

yea bump slow down is more like it. I dont really do any gofast stuff, and my shocks are garbage. so I dont care if I bottom then out and destroy them.

what did you have for bumpstops before this?
